RentScape
Rentscape is a French car rental company with its headquarters in
Saint-Jacques-de-la-Lande, Brittany (where Rennes Airport is located). The company was founded in 2017, so it hasn’t been around for a long time but has grown very quickly in that short amount of time. As of 2023, Rentscape plans to continue to grow and is hiring even more team members to be able to accomplish this.
Rentscape operates exclusively in France (as of 2023). The company has rental desks in many of France’s major airports and offices in or near many of the main high-speed train stations in the country (the TGV). In each of those locations, the company has a variety of vehicles for renters to choose from. Of course, in the larger airports, its fleet is even more varied —ranging from mini cars all the way to passenger vans, and everything in between, including luxury cars.
The company won our Excellent Service Award in 2024 for the following locations: Biarritz, Bordeaux, Brest, and Nantes Airports. It also has a location at Lyon Airport.
Renting a car when you don’t have a credit card can be a hassle at times. Unfortunately, Rentscape, like many other rental companies, doesn’t accept debit cards. You’ll have to have a credit card to leave the security deposit when you pick up a vehicle from any of the company’s rental desks or offices.
With Rentscape, renters are allowed to take the company’s vehicles outside of France. And unlike many other rental companies, Rentscape doesn’t charge an additional fee for this service. Keep in mind, though, that the coverage and roadside assistance may not be available outside of Metropolitan France, but you can purchase additional services for this when picking up the vehicle (but not after you’ve picked it up)
