Cons: Never get the car you think is booked (Booked a Citroen C3, told I had a Ford Focus then ended up with Opel Corsa. I had a Opel Corsa, Vauxhall and Opel are really uncomfortable cars for my back, I wouldn't have booked it if known. When questioned GoldCar said I had to contact discovercars, when you've had an early start you just want to get on your way.

Pros: This was my second rental with Goldcar and although I had seen bad reviews, I have been very impressed by the service on both occasions at Murcia Airport

Pressurised selling tactics by representative to buy further insurance and local charges than I anticipated- charged over 3 times the cost of the rental for ‘peace of mind’. Preying on hot, tired tourists with children leading them to believe they MUST pay the additional or risk paying thousands for minor damage is daylight robbery. I will NEVER use Goldcar again.

Good job I did, as the gauge was not showing full at the start, however they imposed a penalty charge automatically from my already registered bank card of €50 + €14.56 fuel charge as the tank was not full. Cons: I’ve never had an issue, used Gold car a few times now. My only point to make is I’ve normally found the body work is always a bit beat up! So I always make sure I photograph everything on pick up, especially as I always cover the excess on my credit card, on this occasion it was a key drop with no inspection.
