Pros: Europcar themselves are a good provider but I am not satisfied with the online booking scams going on especially at Sarajevo. Never before in my rentals anywhere in the world I came across such practices.

Cons: Europcar states it's not them but it's the middle agent E.d Discover cars.com who are responsible for this mess

Pros: Pickup point was right across the Arrival gate at the aiport and was easy to get to. Car was clean and up-to date and was reliable for a long road trip I had planned. Car model was good in terms of mileage and was very economical.

Cons: Only thing would be Team is either understaffed or slow so can get a bit longer to pickup or drop off the car but they were nice about it.

Pros: It was cheap considering its competitors.

Cons: Our car broke down in the middle of the road. We had already reported the error alerts before the breakdown, but the only solution they provided was to turn the car off and on again—which obviously didn’t work. Luckily, we were able to find a replacement car in Tivat, but this issue could have been resolved the first time we encountered the alert.

Pros: Staff was very friendly, and even though we arrived a bit early, they gave the car straight away. Drop off was stress-free with no unexpected additional charges. A day before, there was heavy snow and we didn’t have the chance to wash the car but they didn’t even charge a cleaning fee. I’ll definitely use them again.

Cons: Ladies on the Europecar desk in Sarajevo definitely need to learn about customers care. First thing I have been told when I got to the desk is how they stayed longer than working hours because of me, no smile, unpolite and than they charged me 24 euros for staying 15 min longer. Unbelievable.

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 1000.00), Theft Protection, Third Party Liability (TPL), Free modifications.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 26.

Maximum rental age is 75 years.
A senior driver fee applies to drivers over the age of 66.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 2 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.

Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.
In order to pick up the car, the renter and each additional driver must present the following documents: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher.
A digital driver's license will not be accepted — you must bring your physical driving license.
Deposit and deductible policy

Cross-border policy
Cross border rentals are allowed only upon previous request.
Additional charges will be applied in case the car is crossing state or region borders.

Crossing country borders is allowed to the following countries: Kosovo. Details are available from the car rental company's reservation office. In the event that Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Snow chains.
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Alternatively, the renter may purchase a tank full of fuel at the time of rental and return the tank empty.
In no case will a refund be given for unused fuel.
Additional information
By law, winter tires are mandatory on all roads from 15.11 to 15.04.
Snow chains are recommended in icy/snowy conditions, especially when traveling in mountainous areas.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.

The supplier will hold the vehicle for 30 minutes after your scheduled pick-up time as long as it is within their normal business hours. After this time, your booking may be canceled without refund.
