Pros: No wait to pick up car - car was exactly as expected

Cons: Battery on hybrid car needed to be jump started twice and there were other warning lights so it seems like the car needs a service. The agent didn’t seem to know that he needs to manually process foreign cards for the deposit using the chip and pin machine, but it was all sorted after he asked his colleague.

Pros: Pick up and drop off was very quick and efficient!

Cons: Took one point off for explaining how an electric car works and especially how “fun” it would be to try to figure out how to pay for charging. Info as how an electric car differs from a gas and how most charging apps won’t download on American phones. Thankfully, my wife found the Fortran Charge and Drive App and through the app, we were able to plan and find every station along our long journey up to Bødo!

Rate excludes

Many highways in Norway are tolled using only electronic means.
An E-Toll is offered in order to avoid violation fees.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 19 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

The driver license must be written in Roman alphabet.
A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.
Only physical driver's licenses are accepted (not digital versions).

In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher, flight information.
Deposit and deductible policy


If the customer takes the following extra equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Additional Driver, Mandatory surcharges, then an additional amount of deposit will be held on their credit card.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Ski rack, Wi-Fi.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

Delivery/Collection service is available only by previous request. Details are available from the rental company's reservation office.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Electric vehicles must be returned with the same battery charge they had when picked up to avoid additional charges (on a per kWh basis). An additional admin fee will be charged if a vehicle is returned with less than 70 % battery charge remaining.
Additional information
The vehicle must be returned in an acceptably clean condition in order to avoid additional charges.
