Pros: Nothing

Cons: Everything It’s starting with the fact that they didn’t reserved a car similar to what we order. When we were convinced to take another car this suddenly said it’s not available anymore. We took a lower grade car - usually you at least upgrade the customer but they didn’t have anything to offer (although we saw some options in the parking lot but was too exhausted to go back and face them) the person in the desk was not reliable at all and at the end we felt like we were tricked

Pros: Quick, easy pick up and drop off.

Cons: Only problem we had was that we specifically rented a car with manual transmission, but when checking in we were given automatic, Hertz agent informed us they only have automatic cars. We managed, but it was little stressful for the driver who never drove automatic before. On Hertz website there are manual transmission cars available.

Cons: Some things I needed to ask, like how Autopass works, cables for the car. In general, I miss free/discounted carwash from the rental companies, to encourage keeping the car clean.

Pros: Never got the car i was to late to pick and Hertz just hold the car one hour and rent other people my car. I rent the car for 6 days and paying for all days I was 4 hours late and to pick up my car and staff at Hertz never tried to call or text me and they was very rude and I never rent car with you again.

Pros: Efficient

Cons: I was charged for using Norways tolls on the national Autopass system which is automatically charged to your car registration number .Fair enough you would say .the charges aren't exorbitant. But what is exorbitant is what Hertz do with the unavoidable charges ! They add an admin fee which is 3 x the actual toll charge ! Wish I'd known before hand . They've probably made more profit with this sleight of hand than the car hire !

Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: ~€ 1815.00), Theft Protection, Roadside Assistance (in the country of pick-up), Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, Premium Location fee, Vehicle registration fee, State Tax.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 19 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

Renters from the following country(ies): China must provide the following documents: Hertz Certification form issued by Hertz China in order to collect the car.
Driver licenses will be accepted if issued in the following country(ies): United Kingdom, EU.
Driver licenses from all other countries must be accompanied with International Driving Permit (IDP). For driver licenses from countries not party to the International Driving Permit treaty, an official translation of the license must be presented with the original license.

A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.

In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher.

Delivery/Collection service is available only by previous request. Additional charges will be applied.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Alternatively, the renter may purchase a tank full of fuel at the time of rental and return the tank empty.
Additional information
By law, winter tires are mandatory on all roads from 01.11 to 30.04 in the following regions: Norway South. By law, winter tires are mandatory on all roads from 16.10 to 30.04 in the following regions: Norway North.
Snow chains are allowed in icy/snowy conditions.
Rental period
The maximum rental period per agreement is 60 days.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
In order to have service out of hours, the renter must provide the following information: Flight number. The supplier will hold the vehicle for 29 minutes after your scheduled pick-up time as long as it is within their normal business hours. After this time, your booking may be canceled without refund.
