Bargain Car Rentals at Sunshine Coast Airport

Pros: Really good spec car for long rental, good value for money

Cons: The only thing I didn't like was the extra sales pitch for additional insurance on pick up. I already had really good cover and a very slight fear tactic for hail damage which was astronomical was offer. While I understand it's good to let people know at the time I felt under pressure. But that is the only thing. Over all really happy with service and car

Cons: The car was dirty when I received it, covered in grime and bugs and marks inside the car.

Pros: The girl who helped me check in/pick up the car was amazing! She was genuinely friendly, helpful, kind and efficient. I didn't catch her name but she had tattoos on her left arm and lovely eyelashes - tell her she's doing a good job!

Cons: For drop off of vehicle: if you only have one server on, either have a key box available or have the staff member ask if anyone just needs to drop off keys to avoid people (like me) waiting for 15 minutes while they go through each step of the check in when all I had to do was drop keys.

Cons: If you say your opening office hours are 7am, actually be there and not leave counter unmanned.

Pros: Once we made it through the queue to the desk all was smooth.

Cons: We should have been processed faster if the car was pre-booked & car we ordered should have been reserved as we booked well in advance, but i know there was no guarantee of that. When i rang them to make enquiries, they said it would be very unlikely 90% to get advertised model of car. Maybe they shouldn't advertise what they can't provide. Maybe others in the queue had also pre-booked i dont know, or did they just turn up & hope to get one.

Pros: When we picked up the car the following messages were displayed Service overdue Rear tyre pressure low.

Cons: The agent at the pickup counter was more interested in selling insurance. She also downplayed the insurance that we already had with Discover Australia. Basically she was saying that the insurance that we already purchased would not cover a total write off etc.

Pros: Key drop off box and was 'cheap'

Cons: They say you get what you pay for... I should have paid a little more. Pickup too ages. I did the online checkin and I still had to wait almost 30 mins to pickup the car. The car itself was super underpowered and the brakes were super sensitive, not a very comfortable car to drive at all The lady at the desk was trying to guilt me into the extra insurance that was almost the cost of the booking. Saying the insurance with discover cars doesn't cover a lot and I would still have to pay excess.

Did bring this up and all she snapped sarcastically was “did I take a photo?” No honey, I was on the freeway, I didn’t take a photo. The customer service and attitude on drop off from both girls was disgusting

Cons: They took a $500 deposit (which I wasn’t aware was needed) at the start of the rental period, despite my having taken out separate car insurance. Then they refunded the deposit a few days prior to the end of the rental period. This made me confused as to why the deposit was needed in the first place. But everyth8 g else was fine - really good!

Pros: Great service. Didn’t have the car we booked available (but explained why) and gave us a bigger car - so no complaints here (even if it was the geekiest car ever). We had a wheelchair so had they given us a smaller car, it would have been an issue for us. Car was practically brand new and drove beautifully. Staff were brilliant and there weren’t long queues for collection. Collecting the car was super quick and easy.
