Alamo at Zurich Airport

Pros: In Terminal

Cons: This appears to be a scam. I have never been charged for damages in 20 years of renting from Europcar. The low initial rental offer from Alamo compared to competitors was recouped by Alamo by charging the full excess for minor ‘damages’. Watch out!

Pros: Abi helped us both at picking and returning

Pros: Very efficient and kind.

Pros: Online check in shorten the pick up process. Agents are very helpful and professional

Cons: Nothing

Cons: Car was not in condition to be rented out: not enough oil, we had to fill oil after 1 day car was not very clean

Pros: Easy to find. Helpful staff. Good price/value

Cons: Long wait to get the car. Car was clean but had several scratches already

Cons: Had to wait 1 hour in line. Four hours into my rental I received email which said- I returned damaged car (different car in photo). After week still didnt get any response for my inquiry about this.

Pros: Nice and service minded people, reasonable prices, vehicles in good condition and I can continue ..😊

Cons: as usual… they probably don't have all the cars that appear in the offer and start by offering another one that is of course "better" and of course more expensive... you have to pay a "small" difference but 🥲 they offer you a discount😉 It is better to take out additional insurance directly with their company (more expensive 😏), they say, because if it happens to be needed, they will withhold the money from the client and you will later recover it from the company where you are insured.🤔

Pros: The team are great, my flight was delayed but this was no problem. The van was not what I requested, but was in excellent condition with the options I requested.

Cons: It was impossible to speak with anyone or email their team. Their system was down so I did not receive a condition report for the hire vehicle. When I inspected the vehicle it had damage to the boot panel. The contact number on the documentation refers you to a website, Enterprise in the UK. I send a mail to the website, never received an acknowledgement or reply. This caused my stress. The only number seemed to be for roadside assistance which is chargeable.

Pros: Credits to the agent called Paola. I think I have got the name right. Young and so professional. Motivated and full of knowledge. Thanks again. Hvala lijepa!

Cons: NA

Pros: Clean car, location close to my apartment

Cons: Long waiting time at pick-up. A damage on the rim was not recorded leading to discussions at drop off.

Pros: Good vehicle, skilled check in agent.

Cons: The check in process was unnecessary slow and onerous. Once I got through the line to the actual check in process your staff member was super efficient and skilled. I watched in frustration as he processed double the amount of others who seemed to prefer chatting and then requesting a good review from each customer. I'm sorry I cannot remember my staff member's name but you need more of his skills!

Pros: מהיר ויעיל בקבלה ובהחזרה

Cons: אין

Pros: Friendly and speedy

Cons: The car that I received was not clean enough; the body was very wet.

Pros: friendly, nice agents

Cons: Paperwork was fast and easy, but it was terrible to find the car, one level higher than the desk. The lifts did 't work and no staircase available. Agents told us, it's difficult, the lifts just don't work right. We had to walk up and down, where the cars drove up and down. It took forever until we finally could leave in the car.

Pros: Friendly, helpfull, fast

Cons: Nothing. Great service

Pros: The pickup and drop-off process was relatively quick.

Cons: Incorrect damage reporting and lack of proper inspection at pickup. I was reported for pre-existing damage, which created unnecessary stress and concerns about reliability.

Pros: Alamo employees are very helpful

Cons: NA

Cons: We did full insurance and we keep get from to complete on an accident that we did not do or saw

Pros: Decent pick-up and drop-off

Cons: Unable to contact the company after pick-up. Couldn't get on the phone with a person. Raised support tickets online, but first one got answered after almost 2 weeks (days after rental was completed). Forget about talking with any human in case of questions or issues!

Pros: Alamo is really terrible because they charged too much extra cost.

Pros: Air in tyre indicator …

Cons: You don’t know who is managing you. I bought full insurance but was told that it’s not from Alamo

Cons: Pricing is not clear

Pros: None

Cons: Price it's more than doubled of what was listed as. They did not have a small car.

Pros: Agon was very helpful at the time of the pickup. He also clarified that any additional driver would be charged from the date of addition only. Need a confirmation since we added my wife on 4th June only and returned the car on 11th June so charges should be only for 8 days

Cons: I have been charged 4 times by Enterprise on my credit card. Need details for the same

Cons: It is virtually impossible to contact them during the rental period, when needing info.

Pros: Friendly representative, better car than booked, quick return.

Cons: Longer time spent at pickup.

Pros: We got a 7 seat car as requested.

Cons: The agency seemed confused about what cars were available to us. And the van had already been given away.

Pros: Everything was quick and the car was top class

Pros: Everything was great especialy at pick up and drop off.

Pros: Représentative very efficient

Cons: No windshield washer fluid in the car

Pros: Agent kindness

Cons: There is no clarity regarding the car drop-off location upon arrival at the airport.

Cons: As atendentes não demonstraram boa vontade em atender. Ao que parece, estavam apenas cumprindo o mínimo necessário.

Cons: I had kept my bottle and forgot about it on car door. After 30 mns went back but by then the agents said it was already rented out and when they were readying the car they didn't find it! Which cannot be right as we had kept it on the door. Clearly they didnt check befire renting it out. Which means when we got the car they wouldn't have checked for cleanliness. The renting agent at the time of pick up was rude and we had a few doubts which she treated with mockery !

Pros: Fast, car was very new

Cons: In discovercars I selected a Mercedes benz or similar. I reserved with a long time earlyier and in the desk they gave me a Volkswagen t roc. A very diferent vehicle

Pros: Renault Koleos instead of a Opel Insignia wagon, which would have allowed me to transport my professional tools. I had contacted the Alamos service desk before hand and was totally let down by the staff. When I arrived in the morning there was nobody at the service desk, and the staff at the garage was clueless. After waiting 2-3 hours I eventually left with a car that did not fit my needs. The attitude of the staff in general was appalling, when requesting to speak to a manager, I was told he/

Pros: all process from online booking and pickup car is easy.

Cons: i come early from target time (3hrs early), but cannot get car early. must wait the car. however, the counter person a nice and good person, give me a car after 1 hour waiting.

Pros: The car was ok, but I receive the car with less than fuel tank of disel

Cons: Did someone check the cars before rent them?

Pros: Excellent service, the desk persons were very nice!

Cons: None

Cons: Alamo was not ready with the car category we booked and tried to rent us a car which we had not booked. Later we were forced to buy a larger car with a higher price. Very disappointing experience.

Pros: Quick and Easy, Gave a brand new car.

Cons: Didn't get the car I wanted in the end.

Pros: We came to Zurich airport to pick up a car according to my reservation that was confirmed by Alamo! At the rental desk I was told by very unpleasant lady that they can’t provide me mercedes Vito because they have only a car with 5 seats!! while I am traveling with my family of 6 people one of them is 9 months child!! This fact doesn’t even made any difference to the lady on the renal desk and she just told us “or you take a car with 5 seats or go to another company”. How can we take the car o

Cons: How can we take the car of 5 seats when we are 6 people!! Meanwhile my baby was crying and we were under stress ,another lady from Alamo agreed to help us and give us a car with 7 seats with additional payment of 1190 CHF !!! when the price for mercedes vito according to my reservation is 741 CHF This is a different level of the car, much lower!! But we had no choice but to agree because we needed a car to get to our destination and to feed and put a sleep our baby!!

Pros: No problems!

Cons: -

Pros: The speed of dropping off the car

Cons: The car was has minor damages

Cons: hi I received the vehicle with an incomplete gas tank and returned it with a completely full tank and I paid money here that I did not need. In addition, I had to pay a considerable amount for another driver in the car to drive in addition to me

Pros: Quick & easy

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Very good car.

Cons: Alway haggling about which car they give you

Pros: Good client- Alamo dwlesk understanding

Cons: Finding the car, not to many direction signs, Price

Pros: Car cleanliness

Cons: I did not like the behavior of the Arab female Egyptian nationality, because she changed my reservation and mentioned the negative aspects of the car that we booked. She searched without asking us and chose this car for us at an exaggerated price, although I recommended her to look for a car of the same value for us because my budget is average!! My friend searched for another rental company for the same car at a much cheaper price with comprehensive insurance. and didn't 500€ deposit !

Pros: Quick return service

Cons: VW Polo wasn't available but upgraded to an Opel

Cons: 1. No explanation on the car…ie navigation system, lightings, etc 2. No exact location given ie Parking location (P51) to surrender the car & we hv to go round & round at the Geneva Airport. And hv to pay extra parking fees for going into wrong parking lots to surrender the car.

Cons: The must Right in the description the right amount

Cons: Upon getting the car voucher, It was written that they will charge us CHF500 as an car deposit money, when I was collecting the car they informed that I have to pay CHF2000 as an deposit. I think its because I didn't purchase the full insurance from them. So, everyone please beware of it.

Cons: You cancelled our car rental order . Our flight has been cancelled (we sent you a copy of flight cancellation)and we informed you immediately . You even confirmed to us receipt of our e-mail. When we arrived in ZH airport the next day, (less than 24 hours) you cancelled our rental car. We are going to sue you and request your money back.

Cons: No reply by email when asked a question.

Pros: Easy and fast process and lucky upgrade

Pros: NOTHING

Cons: the service that fraud case and the treatment

Pros: The car , and the dropping off time .

Cons: The picking up time and the problem with the head rest from the middle front seat position. Other not so important was some bad scratches that the car had.

Cons: Alamo charged me 500 CHF again instead of returning it. Despite the fact, no one is answering me. I am extremely disappointed.

Cons: I was disappointed in the delivery as it delayed us for three hours. Also the supervisor was extremely rude and threatening

Pros: agents

Pros: Efficiency and time spent.

Cons: Extras price and insurance price, plus 50% total renting price.

Pros: rapid check-in and personnel attention to customer

Pros: Process being easy, no huge formalities, friendly staff, exactly the way it should be

Pros: lovely car

Cons: Excess was £2700! Fully damage waiver (excess) cover was very expensive and would have increased rental by 33%, breakdown cover not included in rental which was a further hidden cost.

Pros: Very friendly and gave great suggestions

Cons: We were not allowed to get the car “too dirty” and we have two kids so we had to be careful.

Pros: personnel very helpful

Cons: That we were scammed, lied to, secretly charged on the spot for damage we did not do, and the customer service was one of the worst we have ever experienced. The representatives were rude, lied to us and spoke with complete disrespect.
