Driving in Mauritius very challenging. Drivers do not heed to road rules. Cameras and speed checks everywhere on the island and yet drivers continue to break the rules; one wonders if these deterrents are doing the job. Huge improvements in Mauritius, road infrastructure, trams, great shopping centres, great restaurants, loads of activities for young and old. Airport check in can be a real challenge, needs to improve vastly. Language was not a barrier, most are well spoken in English, French and Creole. People friendly and obliging.

Grand Bay provides the stunning beach to relax on, a huge variety of food options and shopping to select from. It is well serviced by transport options. One aspect that I didn't appreciate was the aggressive tone used by some of the vendors selling street food from their trucks. It was very rude and lacked respect towards a visitor.
