The airport has a single terminal which was expanded during the last decade. The entire airport can be accessed on foot.

Location

The airport is about 8 km (5 miles) west of Langkawi center and can be reached in about 15 minutes. Motorways 114 and 112 (also known as Jalan Ulu Melaka Street in the vicinity of the city) are the main routes connecting the airport to the city.

Quite small and compact, the airport has a number of shops, eateries, and restaurants. You’ll also find ATMs, a bank offering currency exchange, business lounges, a baby care room, and two Muslim prayer rooms. There are three hotels within a five-minute drive of the airport.

Nearest gas station

There is a Petronas station at 37 Jalan Padang Matsirat about a three-minute drive from the airport. The gas station is on the way from the city, on the left side of highway 114 right after the traffic circle. There are a number of other gas stations near the airport and on the way from the city.
