Will be. Back. We had great weather other than our first day.
The beach and water was ideal. The accomodation was great. Loved swimming in the sea and the pool.. very relaxing.
Some went to an island to swim and snorkel.
The people of fiji are the warmest, friendliest, I have ever met. They always greet with big smiles and seem to love their lives, in spite of being poor.
Visitors We met went white water rafting and tubing and river cruising. They loved it.
The food was not all that good . I landed up with food poisoning the last night and was sick for 2 days and no sleep.

As a family of 6 we loved the flexibility of having our own car. We stayed on the coral coast for a week at the Warwick resort then port Denarau for the last few nights. Having a car in the coral coast was helpful to get out and explore and find different food options

we pickd up the car then stayed at the gateway motel, from there we drove to the shangri la, stayed for a week, drove back to the gateway, stayed for 3 night, during that time we drove to BA town and back

This our first time in Fiji, although a short trip, we mostly stayed in Nadi at the Crowne Plaza. We made a day trip to Suva, to Lautoka and to Denarau. Beautiful... At the Crowne Plaza there was plenty of activities, the restaurants there were beautiful, lovely food from gluten free, vegan, etc. Family-friendly orientated very helpfu staff and abundance full of smiles.

Don't always trust Google maps. Some roads are not always tar sealed or maintained roads.
Watch the speed humps going in and out of the villages and the use of hazard lights and horns is very normal.

It was difficult to choose the type of vehicle we needed for this trip with 5 adults + luggage. We settled on a Toyota Wish or similar and ended up with a Mazda something. In hindsight, for the roads and places we wanted to visit, a 4x4 would have been a better choice. we found the Mazda very low to the ground and there are tonnes of pot holes and many of the driveways have steep humps which scraped underneath. We only just managed to fit 5 adults + 3 suitcases and 4 backpacks in.
