Minnesota's North Shore is amazing and should not be missed...the highlight of our trip. All Americans should experience the wonders of the Great Lakes, and learn about Lake Superior from it's many points of entry. Also, Wisconsin is so much more than cheese and should also be explored. Our favorite spots were down by Taliesin/Spring Green in a more hilly area of the state and Warrens, where they do the Cranberry Festival every year...what a hoot!

We flew into MSP from Portland in order to not have to worry about connecting flights. We visited friends and family in Stevens Point, Marinette, Oshkosh, Milwaukee, and Kenosha and knew we'd have to rent a car. It made sense to have only one flight, then rent a car- compared to flying into Milwaukee or Green Bay and then renting a car.
