The booking process with discovercars.com is always easy and understandable and their prices are competitive overall. Cape Town is my home town and I always have to hire when returning to visit. I tend to always use First Car Hire via discovercars as the service from First is excellent and so far they have never ripped me off regarding damages etc. I prefer to use discovercars rather than book directly with First car hire as the prices are cheaper this way and because I have a foreign licence I prefer to book via the agency rather than direct in South Africa.
Cape Town is simply one of the best places in the world to visit. Be sure to explore the surrounding areas and venture further out into the Western and Northern Cape. The food, the people, the scenery - are all amazing.

Coastal routes, Betty’s Bay to Somerset West and Chapman’s Drive very pleasant. Climbing Table mountain much recommended if fit enough but get up early and park Tafelberg Road c0700. You can get a good spot to park and the heat of the sun late morning can be avoided.
