Can recommend Mrcina Ranc for horseriding for beginners, lovely trek in beautiful surroundings. Vogel viewpoint ski lift was worth the stunning views. Ice cream on Bled Island in middle of lake was delicious, worth hiring the boat for! Toboggan on hill next to lake was lots of fun. Favourite restaurant was Pri Planincu, traditional food was the best we found. We drove to Soca Valley through Italy as Vrsic pass was closed. Easy drive, roads similar to slovenian ones.

We travelled all over Slovenia - Lake Bled, Ljubljana, Piran, Predjama Castle, Postojna Caves, Celje, Maribor, Ptuj and Skofja Loka. It was an amazing trip and we loved it so much that we are booking again for next year. The car allowed us to travel to all of these places with no hassle.

Slovenia has the best driving roads in Europe, and possibly even better than New Zealand. Sixt are great even when flight was delayed and I left my wallet/glasses in the car after drop-off. You need to hire a car and experience Slovenia's stunning roads and scenery.

If you la d at night, drive to Lake bled and stay there for a couple of nights then go to lake bohjin - explore the mountain region in general/ triglav national park. The drive to the caves Prostjan and the coastal town Piran and then finish of in Ljubljana.
