Albania is an interesting country with nice, polite, calm people. The restaurants in the extreme south of the country served some lovely fresh food (especially the fish and other seafood) at reasonable prices.
Gjirokastër, Butrint Nature Park and the Blue Eye at Mesopotam were all well worth visiting.
The beaches didn’t live up to the hype! It is certainly nothing like the “Maldives of the Mediterranean” that we had been lead to believe! The sea on the other hand was very pleasant - clear and a beautiful temperature.

We had the BEST trip to Albania. We will 100% be returning to do more activities and exploring however we went to both Dhermi and Ksamil - drive between the 2 was easy and views breathtaking. Great beach clubs in both locations. Need to book boat tours in advance.

Beautiful areas, great beaches and wonderful sites to see. Nature is superb! The food is lovely. Lots of things to do for all kinds of interests.
