SAFETY RENT A CAR at Hamad International Airport

Pros: Value for money and good quality cars

Cons: The Car had a strong smell of cigarettes. I suggest adding a term to the rental agreement prohibiting smoking in the rental car.

Pros: Gave me the car with 1/2 gas

Pros: The service was friendly however only 2 people working and very busy. They have the booking and the times people are coming they need to staff accordingly

Cons: Car wasn’t particularly clean and drop off I had to go from car park a fairly long walk to the counter wait in a queue again and then go back to carpark for the person to look at car

Cons: The money for deposit CHARGED from my card instead to hold them only. Still not received them back and understood they will TRANSFER money , but I will loose on charge and exchange rates . NOVODY shall charge me and use my money for a month! Deposit for security shall just be secured on my card but not actually charged as you did.

Cons: I had an issue with the car, this was initially resolved in 24hrs. But the replacement car was worst than the first car, this had issues with cooling in the back of the hire. When I informed the admin team they told me that I would have to take the car to a location which was about an hour away for an assessment, not something I was looking to do when I have booked a holiday. Also the car would shake when you drive slowly from a set of traffic lights.

Had to wait 15 mins for them to inspect the car, the car itself was absolutely battered with 11 separate dents and scratches, inside the car was dirty with broken floor mats, the engine itself sounded like it wanted to give up. All in all the MG5 with only 29k km on the clock was grim to drive

Cons: The guy handing me the car said it was ok, but when I started looking around at the car, it was full of dents, scratches and all the alloys had dents and scuffs around them. We spent 15 minutes so that he can document all these problems before I could leave. He seemed unhappy that I was pointing out all these issues and that he had to record them. I would have never paid for such a car in that state.it was 2 AM He told me I had 5 minutes to leave the CARPARK otherwise i need to pay for parking.

Cons: I had to wait for the sales person to come to me, I was given instructions on WhatsApp, I was lucky I had an eSIM to access the internet. The service do not have a desk and used someone else’s desk. The horse told me that they did not have the car I asked for but were upgrading me. It was an actual downgrade from a British made MG to a Chinese car with a much smaller engine, although it was similar size. The car was disgusting to say the best. I had to get the car washed myself.

They withdraw the safety deposit (not just a guarantee, a proper withdrawal), then they contact you long time after the car return to ask you your credit card number for a refund. Which means lots of bank and exchange fees on your side. The car was in really bad conditions (engine, noise…). No serious company would give such a vehicle to a customer before having it fixed.
