Cons: At the pick up the agent tried several times to charge more than my voucher was saying it would cost. In the end I paid the right cost but if I was not paying attention he would charge me more tha 500 euros instead of around 350 euros.

Pros: Car was quite new (20000 kilometers) and in a very good condition.

Cons: Customer service is terrible. First of all, they have 2 offices in Funchal and Machico, but they have transit to/from the airport only in Machico. There is no information about this, even when I've contacted them through WhatsApp and provided the name, they said the shuttle bus will pick us up. But when the bus has arrived, the driver said that he can't take us to Funchal, so we had to get a taxi. At the office, I've described the situation to the clerk, but he just said: "It was not me".

Cons: The car had many bad scratches and dents. The main problem was that the connection between phone and the touch screen was faulty and Andoid Auto kept switching off,leading to many problems with finding routes - got lost many times.

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, First additional driver, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 3000.00), Theft Protection, Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, Road tax, VAT (value added tax), Free modifications.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 18 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 26.

Maximum rental age is 75 years.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

Driver licenses will be accepted if issued in the following country(ies): United Kingdom, EU.
Driver licenses from all other countries must be accompanied with International Driving Permit (IDP).
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.
Deposit and deductible policy

Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age).
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
Underage additional drivers are also subject to a young driver fee.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.


Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information
Winter tires are not mandatory in Portugal. Snow chains are recommended in icy/snowy conditions, especially when traveling in mountainous areas.
Tax rate in country
A mandatory Madeira regional usage fee of 2 EUR per day up to a maximum of 20 EUR per rental, will be charged at the rental desk at pick-up.
Business hours
The supplier will hold the vehicle for 1 hour after your scheduled pick-up time as long as it is within their normal business hours. After this time, your booking may be canceled without refund.
