Pros: Car clean and modern. Upgrade to slightly bigger car.

Cons: Insistent on payment of a fixed tariff daily. Stating to cover third party liability. Before we could rent the car. Not expected, but trapped into agreeing, otherwise no car.

Pros: It took 90 minutes to do the pick because the car was not ready, dirty and no fuel

Cons: Very poorly organised. Car was dirty and only had half a tank of petrol until I sent them away to fill it up. Very poor rental company. The car was ok though being a Toyota.

Cons: The pressure for getting an extra insurance when I already paid one with discover cars. When I drop-off the car, nobody were there, I waited 1:15hour.

Cons: Rental agent tried very hard to sell us their full protect insurance even when we told him that we already had one from discovercars. When we returned the car, the process took about an hour. One extra hour that we could use to something more interesting in Rome in our last day.

Cons: Process at rental office is manual and a little slow. Also, when we were given the car, I noted to the garage attendant that there was a low tire pressure warning for the front left tire. He kicked it and said it was fine. We ended up having to fill the fill the tire daily because it had a slow leak and kept losing pressure. This was very inconvenient.

Pros: There was nothing to like. I arrived without my International Driving Permit and was forced to buy the most expensive insurance plan so as to maintain the car rental. In Italy last year, I never had this problem. So what’s the logic? With insurance bought, I’m allowed to drive in Italy without my driving permit? Out of desperation, I had to reluctantly carry on with the rental, with the ‘premium’ insurance plan purchased. Car received was dirty. Fuel was not even pumped full.

Cons: I asked if I could return the car after office hours and was told to return it to the garage and just put the car keys inside. No problem they said, you’re fully insured. When I returned the car after office hours, the garage was locked! What was I to do? I parked the car outside the garage and left the keys inside as instructed. Now I’ve been charged €72 for the late return of the car when I actually returned it a night earlier. Couldn’t find the car they said! Scammers! Help me get my €72 back

Pros: The agent in Florence was kind and helpful.

Cons: The car we originally picked up had a flat tire when we got in and started to drive. We went back and they quickly gave us a different car. At drop off though they had put the wrong return time and the rep was rude to us. Aside from the issue, the rep at drop off location was very rude.

Pros: We rented a 7 seat “intermediate van” for 6 people. We got a Peugeot 5008 which was perfect for my family of 6 with 1 carry on sized bag each. It did have a 7th seat but we would not have fit 7 with bags. It was perfect for Italy’s tight roads both in Florence and in Tuscany. The car rental was the part of our trip I was the most concerned about but Noleggiare nailed every detail: a great experience! Note if coming from US you DO need the international driving permit. $20 at AAA.

Cons: Noleggiare’s service was friendly and efficient. Seemed like everyone who worked for them was nice and spoke English very well. It’s a bit of a walk from S. Maria station in Firenze to their office but it was exactly where they said and straight forward. Once there, they processed our rental quickly, shuttled us to the car and we were on our way with exactly the car we expected and better service than I could hope for. 100% would rent from them again!

Pros: Once, we found the office, staff was helpful. They explained that the insurance coverage on the contract did not cover the car damages, etc. We had to pay more money for adequate insurance coverage.

Pros: The car itself was good value except that I was asked to top up my insurance despite buying the full cover from Discovery. It ran well although and was relatively clean (although there were footprints etc on mats, doors and car had brake pads worn warning).

Cons: Firstly, the car pick-up was very far from rental company shopfront which was already some distance from the train station. I left my family a the station and by the time I came around to pick them it was an hour later. Secondly, I was told I had to produce an international driver's licence. I have NEVER been asked for this in Italy and my next rental at Sixt. Because of this they made me purchase max insurance cover even tho I Had already bought max cover from Discovercars.

I had to stop to get window cleaner so I could see to get out of town. I asked for it repeatedly but never got a paper copy of my rental agreement. I did not get the car that was offered when I made the booking. The alternative was less than satisfactor

Cons: They refused to give me the car, because I didn’t have an international driver’s permit. Discover Cars then pocketed the initial 60$ fee. I imagine Noleggiare got a cut, however I would need to confirm. Avis had no issues renting me a car right next door. And they communicated to me that this is common with Noleggiare. They will rent a car to multiple people and then turn them away when they show up to get the easy cash. This scam generates thousands of euros with no service provided.

Had to drag luggage through several city blocks to get to office. Car is not located at office, a shuttle is required to get to garage, a further delay. Upon return of the car the car rental employee went over every single inch of the car looking for the smallest issue in order to make a claim. Luckily I took out insurance, photograph everything…

Cons: It took an hour and a half to get the car. There was a line out the door. Although we did everything online it did not help expedite the procedure of picking up the car. We were shuttled to an offsite to pick up car. The cars air co condition went on and off. It was so miserably hot. The car turned off on us twice. We changed our travel plans and returned it two days early. They did nothing to take care of the issue. I was told to take it up online.

Cons: Worst rental experience ever regarding picking up the car. When we arrived at the site for our reservation, the line up was 20 people deep outside the door, with about 10 people inside. There were only 2 representatives helping customers, & it took at least 20 minutes per rental. Once a representative finished with a customer, he then walked them outside & down a block to show where to wait for the shuttle, adding another 5 minutes to the time spent. It took over 2 hours to get into our car.

Cons: When I booked the car, I booked a "small SUV similar to a Skoda Karoq". I was expecting something similar to a Rav 4 and I got a Hyundai Kona, which is just a hatchback car. We had 4 adults and 7 suitcases . The people in the back were very uncomfortable on the way to our Airbnb. Once we started our day trips the car was plenty big, however. It would be nice to have a more accurate description and maybe a roof rack??

Pros: They wouldn’t rent us a car based on not having an “international drivers license. They said it was illegal in Italy to rent without it even though every other car company was willing to rent to us.

Cons: Though the obligation for an International Permit was in the fine print - it would have been VERY HELPFUL if it had been made clearer to us when we made the booking.

He did not give me any paperwork at that time, and several days later I received an email stating that there was a scratch on the door. I don't believe that was from our trip, as we were driving mostly in the countryside, and had no issues. Also, the gas was supposed to be full at pick up, and it was less than 1/3 full. The wait time to get the car was about 2 hours. I would not rent from them again.

We selected a midsized SUV that was supposed to hold 5 passengers and 4 or 5 bags. This was not possible. False advertising in my opinion. The office is a long way from where the cars are and it was a very inefficient service. Turning the car in gave an address that was a tire shop and incorrect. Highly dissatisfied

Pros: Returning the car was very easy and the person there was helpful and called us a taxi so we didn’t wait for the shuttle because of our earlier poor experience.

Cons: There was only one employee at the rental desk, so there was a decent queue. Then we had to wait for a shuttle to take us to pick up the car and this was more than 30 minutes. We had a 9:30 pick up time and by the time we found the rental agency office and got shuttled to the car, it was almost 11:30. This took time away from our planned day.

Cons: I had to wait in the office for up to 2 hours to be attended, and then pick up the car about 15 minutes walk away, when I put Florence Train Station in the reservation. I lost two hours of my excursion time. In the end, in this way I felt a little cheated because they could warn me before making the reservation

Next i received a form to say I choose not to wait and was told that the mirror that was broken during collection of the car was flagged as damaged. Not good experience.

Cons: They were not help when we ended up not being able to pick up our car at the location specified. They wouldn’t transfer our reservation to anywhere else, and we lost all of the money we had paid for the rental (and had to then spend more on top of that to rent elsewhere).

Cons: The drop off adress I requested was airport, however the address was not in the airport, and since my flight was at night I had to drive there and live car earlier since there was no shuttle from location to airport at night. When I asked for early drop off to in the city they requested extra payment.
