Pros: Easy pick-up.

Cons: Support while stranded. They told us that rescue would come but they didn't come.

Cons: The agent at returning the car tried to scam me by finding fault w micro scratches which we have identified with the agent that checked off the paperwork when we picked up the car. He made the process really difficult despite me having cleaned and polished the car professionally before returning it.

Pros: They were kind, fast and efficient, the car worked great for the purpose of 4x4, we had 2 extra tyres (thank God we never had flat tyres during the trip), they were available to extend our rental for one extra day by simply calling them on the phone.

Cons: The condition of the car was not perfect. The steering wheel was shaking when driving above 90 km/h and we had to waste 2 hours going in a garage in Windhoek in their place to make wheel balancing, but that didn't solve the problem in the end. Anyway, the car was perfectly usable and we had no trouble driving on gravel roads and on the sand, so the overall performance was good enough for us.

Pros: It was very smooth and the car was in a very good condition.

Cons: It took a while to print the documents. The insurance system was a little complicated in terms of billing and refund.

Cons: Our only complaint was that the enclosure to the storage area in our Toyota did not have a good seal so when driving on gravel/ dusty roads, our luggage became covered in thick dust.

Cons: The only issue was that 2 tires were very old and on a trip to Namibia, road are hard on tires. So we had 2 flats in a short time, but only one spare tire... which let us in the middle of the desert without network and one tire we couldn't change. Fortunately we finally got help from people passing by, but the tires should have been verify before letting the car to customers. Lost of time lost to resolve everything... But when we reach Hertz after, we got very good service.

Cons: The vehicles steering wheel was shuddering whilst driving and that was not a great experience. Disappointed that they release a car with this type of issue unresolved. Lastly, not much car choice options were offered or on hand to select from. So, doesn’t help to say xx car or similar at booking stage and I know the fine print will cover you for this but not great from an experience and an expectation standpoint.

Cons: Bad service. After returning a car, Hertz deducted 113 EUR without providing any explanation. I asked for invoice but I cannot receiver. Moreover, we returned car few days earlier, and Hertz informed that they should give compensation. After Hertz asked to contact discovercars. Unfortunately, discoverycars appeared useless, not helping at all. As an EU diplomat I am planning to use my diplomatic immunities and contact HQ of Hertz, informing very bad services.

Pros: The car was in perfect confitions, quite new and was a really good car.

Cons: They were a bit tricky when picking up the car and tried to get me pay for everything, additional tyres and screen insurance (even though I already had it with DiscoverCars), and told me that I could pay 350 namibian dollars (NAD) to avoid paying the deposit of 32000 NAD. In the end it was 350 NAD per day, 4000 NAD per 11days... so I felt like cheated.

Cons: The car given to me in the first place should never have been up for rental. passenger seats were slashed, car was dinged all over and it drifted all over the road when driving it. Amazingly it only had 20 000kms on the clock, but it was clearly a very tough 20 000kms as it looked rough...

Cons: the fact that my hold for the deposit which should have been removed from my credit card is STILL reflecting as a depost hold. It must please be removed. the car was returned with fuel tank filled and no issues.

Cons: 1). Service at rental desk (Windhoek Airport) is slow. 2). Issued me a vehicle that was not ready (Vehicle had to be washed still). 3). Vehicle issued was poor and dangerous - Travel at 120 Km/Hr makes vehicle swerve across the road. 4). Radio in vehicle failed to work. Sounds like arial wire detached from the radio unit.

Pros: Everything went fast during pick-up and drop-off. The car was according to the reservation (or maybe even better). During the trip, I had some special requests and the local staff handled them impeccably. Very happy with how everything went.

Cons: "i cannot give you a car like this" has been the expression of hertz employer, the have to change the car with e new one, not completely clean, 1 hour after the time fixed, and generally instable in driving

Pros: Picking up the car was very easy and the staff were super friendly and efficient.

Cons: When I received the car the fuel was not 100% full it was like 97%, which didn't bother me until I had to return the car, the attendee wanted a petrol slip from my last fill (lucky I had it because I wasn't told to get a slip) all they were concerned about was the fact that I had put fuel in at the end of the trip. I could have put in one liter and given them the slip and they would have been happy. which is probably what the person before me did !!! The system needs looking into !!!

Cons: The car that we reserved wasn't available. The car that they offered was much smaller, which we declined. Then they found a car to match what we reserved and we signed the paperwork, were in the car ready to drive off and they made us get out so they could give it to another person! Then we were given a standard shift single cab truck with the promise that a car would be delivered to us the next day. We were never contacted and had to drive that bulky dented truck all weekend!!!

Cons: I was overcharged for the rental since the prepayment that I was charged by discovercarhire was not reflected on the invoice.
