Dollar at Muscat Airport

Pros: They gave me a car under someone’s else name. And gave my car to another person. This is a huge liability and legal problem. Now if the other person did anything illegal I’ll be responsible. I call them they never respond.

Cons: I liked everything except the agent behaviour at the airport who was very upset that I booked the car online. I am not sure why but he kept asking me who told you to book online

Pros: Responsive Agent..... New, Clean, Beautiful Car..... Ease of access..... Ease of use. Would have loved to have a GPS system in the Car.

Pros: Nothing really, was given a filthy car which you couldn’t see out the rear window, car had 0 windscreen wash in it to use so wasn’t cleanable. Petrol was nearly empty not convenient and the car was overdue a service which you could tell When driving

Pros: when i received the car i requested from the employee ash tray he he said not available then i requested cup to smoke he serviced me but when i returned the car they let me pay fine 25 omr which should be on the employee who gave me that cup without informing me not allowed and till now i didn't get the invoice on the fine

Cons: I had the most unpleasant experience at Dollar car rental in Muscat airport of any rental car agency I have dealt with in my life. I have been to 75 countries and this was a form of thuggery I have never seen. I brought my car back to return it a day in advance. I had it professionally cleaned. Filled the gas and drove it less than the allocated 1,200 kilometers for the trip. The allocated amount was mentioned twice to me by the lady who did my paperwork inside the airport when i rented car

Pros: I have full coverage and was charged 108 riyals for a tire damaged on the road. Please return the money immediately.

Cons: When leaving Muskat the next day -a tire exploded after 30min drive.We drove on the main road, not too fast but it exploded. When calling the helpline, the lady said - we should not worry and gave me a number to call. When calling this number, the guy said, he won't provide any help, cause this is not in the service included. Luckily some locals changed the tire for us. Short after we bought a new tire to feel safe on the rest of the trip.We paid 18.5 OMR. My mails to Dollar remain unanswered.

Cons: It was a long line to pick up the car and we had to wait for about 1 hour. We didn’t get a garage entry ticket for the return and we couldn’t get in to the garage with out first going to the car rental office and get the garage entry card,

Cons: I have to waste my time looking for the car wash before returning the car, because they charge you 65 $ if you return dirty car.

Cons: The car was in a REALLY bad condition. Kilometers on the car at 133 000!! Breaks were bad... didn't feel very safe. Headlights wasn't very strong which made it difficult to navigate at night.

Cons: Arrived to pick up car nobody was on the desk. After. 45 minute waiting asked on the desk next door. Who very kindly went and found him asleep in back room!!! It then took over a hour to check in 1/2 asleep. Then got told go outside. There was no signs telling you where to collect car . Walked around car park for a while to find desk for collection. Sorry but worse customer service I have ever received. Just thought I would add I travel a lot to Middle East so I am use to things been challenging

Pros: The car was brought to us at the picking up location. We were upgraded from nissan micro to sunny. We liked the automatic transmission.

Cons: It took the desk agent 15 minutes before he finished our contract, could faster we think.

Pros: Not much about the overall experience. However, attendants when picking up and dropping off the car were friendly.

Cons: The service at the counter was slow and only one person was helping customers despite there being another person behind the counter. We needed a 4WD for our trip and the online booking system did not specify which cars were 4WD. My internet research showed that the car we booked was 4WD, but upon arriving at the rental counter we were told we'd have to upgrade to another car - costing ~£150 for the week (total ~£400). Despite Dollar loyalty membership they didn't let us add a driver for free.

Pros: I always use Dollar in Oman. Great guys. Great service.

Cons: Upon arrival our car was not ready and instead of a 4WD Mitsubishi Pajero we received a Toyota Corolla and a promise that the correct car would be delivered to our hotel between 6 and 8pm. After 8pm we made several calls to your 24/7 hotline to hear where the car was. Each time we were told that it would arrive at the hotel in 30-60 minutes. However, the car was never delivered. At around 10am the following day, we were finally told that we could pick up the correct car in the Airport.

Pros: They guys were very helpful and even though there were some issues they assured me everything was fine.

Cons: paperwork was all messed up so was a little unnerving but the Dollar reps were very good and assured me it was all OK.

Cons: Car quality was very poor. Windsceen had large horizontal split in it, inside of car was very grubby and the drivers headlight bulb did not work.

Cons: The hire car was in poor condition with stains all over the inside, the key fob only worked intermittently and the engine required pedal pumping to get going. Generally not happy with with car, would likely use enterprise car hire in the future as previous experience shows they look after their cars a lot better.

Cons: The car was old, very very dirty inside and not really fit for purpose. The staff were rude and inefficient. We waited 20 mins for the customer service representative to finish a personal telephone conversation before then waiting half an hour for a different representative to come and check us back in.

Cons: Coeaning the car before returning it Cleaning should be done by Dollat not by me
