Cons: Car Wiz offers cheap rentals, but their shady tactics make it costly. They pressure customers into buying their insurance and rely on deceptive damage claims. Before signing, take dozens of photos! I was wrongly accused of a hubcap and underbody scratch—how could I check underneath without a lift? Their pre-rental report contained old, unclear photos taken at night, making it impossible to verify damages. In the end, they charged me over $500 for damage. Total Scum!!

Cons: The car rental is just to much of a cost and if not taken you are under tremendous stress of trying to avoid being damaged or scratched by other person or other cars even when parked.

Pros: It was cheaper than other companies

Cons: The rental place was out of the way and required us to have to get taxis from the port to the rental location and likewise upon returning as it isn’t at airport. We did this because it was a significant savings but wouldn’t have if it was comparable in price. We requested a 7 person vehicle but ended up with a 9 passenger Mercedes van which was way too big to be driving in Europe and the front passenger seat was a bench seat which didn’t recline which made it incredibly uncomfortable.

Pros: First class service from start to finish, both in Split and in Zagreb. A small problem with our rental car was resolved quickly, fully and efficiently. Special mention to Ana and Krešo at the Split office who went above and beyond to make sure that I was completely satisfied.

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 990.00), Theft Protection, Third Party Liability (TPL), Premium Location fee, Free modifications, State Tax.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 18 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 22.

Maximum rental age is 80 years.
A senior driver fee applies to drivers over the age of 71.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 2 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher.
The driver license must be written in Latin alphabet.
Otherwise, the renter must provide an International Driver Permit (IDP).
Deposit and deductible policy
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age).
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

It is allowed to add up to 3 additional drivers.
Certain additional drivers are subject to both an Additional Driver fee as well as either a Young Driver or Senior Driver fee.

Delivery/Collection service is available only by previous request.
Additional charges will be applied.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a certain amount of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information
The vehicle must be returned in an acceptably clean condition in order to avoid additional charges.
By law, winter tires are mandatory on all roads from 15.11 to 15.04.
Snow chains are recommended in icy/snowy conditions, especially when traveling in mountainous areas.
Rental period
The maximum rental period per agreement is 30 days.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 59 minutes. If the customer is late for a return for more than 29 minutes, extra day charges will apply, in addition to any other rental charges.
