Pros: We had an issue with the first car which was resolved very quickly at another location.

Cons: The first car was old, had over 110,000 miles on it. Every corner was scratched and the clutch was near burnt out. However we highlighted this and it was swapped out no problem for another car which was 100x better

Cons: I had to use the same credit card to provide a deposit and to pay for the car rental (at least I was told that). This meant I had to pay higher exchange-rate fees provided by my bank. Also, it is already five days after I returned the car and the euros 2,200 deposit is still showing up on my credit card balance. Given these issues, I will avoid renting a car from Budget again.

It made a loud screeching sound each time we started from a stop and was terrible with power. I had to be really careful when pulling out.

Pros: Have used Budget in Shannon Airport on numerous occasions over recent years who have been excellent. First time using Budget, Cork Airport recently (new Aer Lingus route from England) & disappointed as above

Pros: They charged me for the deposit of the car, but they did not let me use it. I was never able to log in with the reference number. I have not used the car and they have charged me 28 euros.

Cons: The price, the crumby car, the deposit that prevented me from hiring it for 2 weeks without taking your insurance. The fact I had to bring it back in the middle of Storm Eunice because you wouldn’t let me delay my return until the winds had died died down putting me and my 5mth old in grave danger. The manner of the lady I spoke to on the phone and the attitude of the man on the desk when I returned the car. Pretty much the worst experience of car hire in Cork I’ve ever experienced in 10 years.
