Pros: The car was clean, the rental price was excellent , the customer service was good and overall it was a quick and efficient process.

Cons: I had an issue with an expired tax disc which I only realised was expired when I received a fine! The issue was solved promptly as I was provided with a new car on the same day.

Cons: I bought the full coverage and paid an extra per day charge for this only to arrive in Ireland and to be told by Budget that they did not recognize it. They forced me to buy their own full coverage. I I feel like i was scammed.

Pros: There was significant scratch that was not shown on the car damage report. They had told me to video the car when I picked it up and I had no problems when I returned the car.

Cons: Car faulty, warning lights on dashboard, it clearly hadn’t been checked and not fit for purpose. Agent at desk refused to provide an alternative. Awful service.

Cons: In summary, our rental car would not start on the morning of returning it. We had a mechanic come to look at it, who also could not start it and tried jumping it. We had to arrange for other people to drive us and it was very lucky we made our flight (we arrived 50 minutes before departure). Because our car would not start when we needed it, we are being charged €510 more than we should be being charged despite speaking to budget multiple times on the day to agree all next steps.

Cons: After mentioning that, I purchased the rent with full coverage the agent told me it would not enough in case of damage and I had to have another coverage by the agency increasing the total rent price from 368 euros to 743 Euros with gas that supposedly to be refunded in several days and that would be 123 EURS

Cons: Sat Nav onboard didn't work but I was supplied with a Garmin. The maps were a bit out of date, which sent me to the wrong place for two locations.

Cons: After only 30 minutes driving, the car signaled that tyres needed to be inflated. Not a pleasant thing to do when you are in a foreign country with different inflating systems and metrics, and in the middle of an already long trip.

Cons: I had to use the same credit card to provide a deposit and to pay for the car rental (at least I was told that). This meant I had to pay higher exchange-rate fees provided by my bank. Also, it is already five days after I returned the car and the euros 2,200 deposit is still showing up on my credit card balance. Given these issues, I will avoid renting a car from Budget again.

Pros: They charged me for the deposit of the car, but they did not let me use it. I was never able to log in with the reference number. I have not used the car and they have charged me 28 euros.

The fact I had to bring it back in the middle of Storm Eunice because you wouldn’t let me delay my return until the winds had died died down putting me and my 5mth old in grave danger. The manner of the lady I spoke to on the phone and the attitude of the man on the desk when I returned the car. Pretty much the worst experience of car hire in Cork I’ve ever experienced in 10 years.
