Cons: They allow to rent a car using a national driver’s license if it’s written in English. However, in my case, according to the local police, I had to obtain an international driver’s permit to be able to drive in Thailand. The company knows that but they still keep this practice. I got finned by police then, because I used a national driver’s license in Thailand. It looks like cheating from the ASAP rent-a-car company . I’m very disappointed.

Pros: ASAP Counter at CNX Airport was easy to find. Shop Manager Rossukhon was most helpful. Pick up & drop off crew was friendly. Whole asap team speaks good English. I shall book again if I travel Chiang Mai in the future.

Cons: ASAP’s car is so new and with reasonable price. Recommended to all who need a car rental in Chiang Mai.

Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, First additional driver, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: ~€ 430.00), Theft Protection, Roadside Assistance (in the country of pick-up), Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, VAT (value added tax), Free modifications.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A Young driver fee is not applied.

Maximum rental age is 75 years.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the national driver license is not written in English.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.

In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher.
Cross-border policy
It is forbidden to cross country borders.
In the event that Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 240 minutes.
