Latvia
Nissan Juke
9/25/26

Pros: We did get the car and it worked more or less. The agent was friendly. It was cheap.

Cons: We booked new generation Nissan and got 2013-2019 Peugeot. It drove, but barely - making noise like an old diesel truck. No ABS, no ESP, no CarPlay, bad tire pressure, dirty on the inside and outside, broken trunk lock - had to be opened by pulling a rope from the inside.

Nissan Micra
9/15/26

Pros: Agent was friendly and on time.

Cons: Car was in poor condition. Beeping non stop with a stop warning sign on dashboard, car radio would start blasting even when car was parked and completely turned off.

Pros: The company staff was friendly and helpful.
United Kingdom
Opel Astra
10/14/25

Pros: Ignition issues from the start and car broke down and wouldn't start. Had to have a new battery. Still continued with ignition issues and throwing up system warnings that I was told to ignore.

Pros: Great assistance from the staff. Very helpful, very accommodating, check in and check out very quick and easy. Did not try to add on services or coverages. Would gladly use them again.

Toyota Aygo
9/12/25

Pros: Great communication, simple process, friendly people

Cons: The car was low on oil and coolant, which led to a small panic moment the first night. However, this was a very small inconvenience compared with the good parts.

Opel Astra
7/29/25

Pros: contacted me before and brought the car directly to the port. was nice

Cons: tried to make me pay for a bump on the car i didn't do. Saying i have an insurance hence it's not a problem. The car was full of bumps... was not so nice, even though at the end i paid nothing...
United Kingdom
Volkswagen Polo
6/24/25

Pros: Really nice agents and felt that they did a good walk round and video of the car for piece of mind

Cons: I paid for a Volkswagen Polo and got an old Nissan Micra.
United Kingdom
Toyota Aygo
6/5/25

Pros: There was a car which didn't break down. Car was very clean. When he arrived, the agent did take time to advise on some of the controls particular to that vehicle, which was helpful.

Cons: The sale was passed to another company. Agent was late for a 'meet and greet' which is not acceptable. Pick up was very fast, with no proper confirmation of the return of the car or acceptance of its condition.
Belgium
Fiat Panda
9/10/24

Pros: Got old Nissan Micra with + 90000 km's. Left light was totally wrong alligned. Complained to agent. Good thing: they brought 2 days later another car to the hotel: an old Opel Corsa with 105000km! Luckaly this car drove much better but wouldn't recommend this company!

Suzuki Celerio
10/23/23

Pros: Kostanstinos seemed very nice when we rented the car, but very sketchy when dropped off......

Cons: The car they provided was horrible. The radio did not work, the AC/heating control could not be adjusted and the clutch slipped. It had more dings and scratches that I have ever seen on a rental. We got a small scuff on the bumper and they charge 80 Euro and had to pay cash. The guy said we would have to go to a garage to get a card reader. Very sketchy and convenient that he did not bring that with him. Price was made up and more than what we rented to car for. Total scam job. Don't use Alma!

Nissan Micra
10/12/23

Pros: I never dealt with Alma Car Hire which was extremely frustrating.

Cons: We were given the worse car on the island. The brakes were squealing and grinding so bad. I asked for another car the 2nd day because we did not feel safe driving the car. And we’re told there were no other cars. We couldn’t explore the island as planned because we were afraid to drive.

Romania
Volkswagen Polo
7/24/23

Pros: - someone waited for me at the port to pickup the car - they were decently responsive to my complaints and tried to solve them

Cons: - booked a small car, they tried to give me a family car, which is huge and difficult to use on island roads - the 2nd car I received broke down 15 minutes, dead battery, good thing I was at a supermarket; it took them almost 1h to come and help me, after promising 15 minutes - most of the cars are old (over 7 years) and the one from 2019 that I got had a malfunctioning gearbox - confirmed to dropoff the car at 8:30 in the port, they never arrived, I was on the ferry at 9:30...
