Pros: The service itself was fine; agents were following the process being set. The car was upgraded to small SUV (assuming they did not have the car we reserved in stock, so we were given that without asking for it)

Cons: At Vilnius Airport, Alamo requires rental cars to be returned cleaned and vacuumed. We chose not to clean the car and were charged a €15 fee. However, the vehicle we received wasn’t particularly clean to begin with—it had numerous scratches, although they were all documented in the pickup paper. When we returned the car, Alamo staff took additional photos and videos to record its condition. we have rented car in multiple locations before and never experienced this

Pros: New vehicle

Cons: I had to wait for the rep to finish his cigarette when picking up. They did not have the standard SUV I ordered and said the reservation stated ‘or similar’ which is ok but he was trying to downgrade me to an intermediate SUV. I had to pay extra to get the right size car because it was a hybrid. They agreed to split the extra charge but then charged me for a cleaning fee to recoup their difference. The car only needed to be vacuumed and washed, I left no trash in it and had no spills.

Pros: Alamo is always easy to rent for a good price. Staff gave us a little upgrade to a stationwagon after seeing our family with luggage, that was really good own initiative! It was easy renting in one country, returning in another.

Cons: The fuel tank was not completely full upon delivery, the car had a lot of dents and scratches and a hefty mileage on it. For the age it had, it wasn’t very well serviced. However, it drove the total of 1600km in a week without any trouble.

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 600.00), Theft Protection, Airport surcharge, Third Party Liability (TPL), VAT (value added tax).
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 19 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

Maximum rental age is 75 years.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the customer is not a resident of the following country(ies): United Kingdom, EU countries.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.

In order to pick up the car, the renter and each additional driver must present the following documents: valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, Passport or ID card, booking voucher.
Deposit and deductible policy

Payment policy
At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
The following payment methods are accepted: Cash, MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card, American Express credit card.
When paying with cash, a debit/credit card issued on the main driver's name is required for security purposes.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Cross-border policy
Cross border rentals are allowed only upon previous request.
Additional charges will be applied in case the car is crossing state or region borders.
Crossing country borders is allowed to the following countries: Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Poland.
In the event that Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age).

Delivery/Collection service is available only by previous request. Additional charges will be applied. During winter season (from 01.11 until 31.03) Winter tires are included in price.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a certain amount of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information
By law, winter tires are mandatory on all roads from 10.11 to 31.03.
Snow chains are allowed in icy/snowy conditions.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
The supplier will hold the vehicle for 0 minutes after your scheduled pick-up time as long as it is within their normal business hours. After this time, your booking may be canceled without refund.
