The roads in Sabah wasnt great - roadworks or potholes or not well-laid out streets.. not so easy to drive and it would take longer than the timing on our navigation app ... but still it is essential to have a car to move around in this part of the world to have the autonomy and freedom to go so we were glad we rented a car!

KK was not good because the traffic and no place to park. Especially big car cannot find out for parking.
sightseeing, entrance fee also expensive for foreigners. I don't want to go again.

The model we had, a Perodua Alta 1.5 L mini van, is way under power for a “Van”. The car is specified as 7 seaters, but we only carry 4 small size adults, and the car already showing sign of overloading😅
