Top Rent a Car is a car hire company located in Bulgaria. The was originally based in Varna, where it was founded back in 2003. The company began with a fleet of only 15 vehicles. Twenty years later it had more than 2,000 vehicles in total. The company began offering cars for hire at Sofia Airport in 2006. After that, it opened car hire points at Burgas Airport, Varna Airport, and Plovdiv Airport. Of course, its headquarters are not at its office in Sofia. The company's fleet consists of newer cars with most being no more than 3 years old.

Top Rent a Car allows its hired cars to be taken to neighboring countries, like Romania, Greece, Turkey, and North Macedonia (though the vehicles have to be returned to Bulgaria). If you wish to travel outside of Bulgaria with one of Top Rent A Car’s vehicles, you’ll need to request this in advance, and you will be charged an additional fee and need to leave a larger deposit.
