Pros: Sixt car rental folks are slow, non professional, attempt to charge for car damage that was previously recorded at the time of pickup, flat out dishonest.

Cons: Attempted to charge me for previous car damage, fuel even though the car had more fuel in it at drop off than at the time of pickup and the collection of $750 deposit rather than holding the deposit and not cashing it via my credit card bank. I was promised a fully refund of my $750 deposit hopefully soon!

Cons: The payment system they use by sending links is not working for most of us , they need to change it When they send the link for the payment out banks are not responding that quick on those type of links so the banks asks for approval the approvals is not working abroad that easy.

Pros: Overall, renting experience with sixt is excellent. Friendly staff and all professional handling process. The check in is a little slow however it is acceptable.

Cons: The rented car (Renault duster) was almost a brand new (2023 with 6000km only), however the Renault is not a good car and will never rent this brand anymore. Can’t imagine that in 2023, there are still cars with manual windows and side mirror. Rear view camera is awful. First time in life I see the cruise control is near the transmission. Too noisy engine with vibration. The radio is not working. In summary, bad brand.

Cons: Sixt didn't accept the rental agreement from discovery cars I had to pay extra money in order to rent the car. Sixt didn't accept the deposit in the agreement they asked 3 times as much. The car itself was not new (2019) had a lot of scratches . After all I would not recommend Sixt to deal with .

Pros: Drop off was great. The staff on the delivery side were fast, quick and respectful. However if Sixt and discover cars don’t have a good relationship, you should find another partner who will respect the rates and terms of agreement. Staff tried to withdraw the deposit instead of only “holding” the amount in my credit card. They converted the amount and added 25% on the National exchange rate, when I asked to pay in US or GBP, they said the POS machine wasn’t working.

Cons: Pick up desk was terrible. I spent 2.5 hours picking up the car (at the end I just told them to do whatever they want just let me go). System doesn’t work. They kept charging me additional services despite refusing. They added $1000 and then added a fake amount of $159 for the traffic police. When I said it’s not in the voucher, they said I have a choice to pay and take the car, or cancel and pay the cancellation fees. They refused to accept American Express card.

Cons: DO NOT RENT FROM SIXY EGYPT. THEY ARE A SCAM: The car agency deduct the full amount of the security deposit $950 and they do not just put a hold on the amount. They then take advantage of the flooring rate (interest) for the rental period plus 15 days it takes to refund the security deposit after you return the car. They also make money from foreign exchange since the take the money in local currency and refund it to you in local currency (same amount). They have took $950 out of my Amex on De

Pros: The price was good, but only if I had the car the entire rental time. The car actually broke down and was towed away, no replacement and no money back.

Cons: The customer service representatives were incompetent. I had to talk to 4 different people and wait an entire day before they sent someone to look at the car when it didn’t start.

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Mileage: 875 km per rental, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: ~€ 695.00), Theft Protection, Third Party Liability (TPL), Free modifications, State Tax.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 26.

Maximum rental age is 64 years.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 2 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

If the duration of your stay in Egypt is longer than 3 months, a driver license issued in Egypt is required.
In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory.

Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.
Driver licenses from the following country(ies): China will be accepted only if the translation is approved by the Consulate or Embassy.
In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher.
Deposit and deductible policy



If the customer takes the following extra equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Wi-Fi, then an additional amount of deposit will be held on their credit card.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Wi-Fi, Chauffeur Service.
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

Delivery/Collection service is available within city limits. Additional charges will be applied, depending on the distance.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.

Alternatively, the renter may purchase a tank full of fuel at the time of rental and return the tank empty.
In no case will a refund be given for unused fuel.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by previous request at airport locations.
The supplier will hold the vehicle for 59 minutes after your scheduled pick-up time as long as it is within their normal business hours. After this time, your booking may be canceled without refund.
