RENT PLUS in Prague (Downtown)

Pros: good service, good downtown location

Cons: the car cruise control and front camera did not work

Pros: Quick, easy and good prices.

Cons: The drop off location in the center has limited parking spots. It's kind of a nightmare to return the car during rush hour and in general. The agent just told me that I have to find a parking spot (which can take hours if you're unlucky) or bring the car to the airport to drop it there. This can be very inconvenient if you have a tight schedule. Also, the place never provides a return document that states that the car has been returned without damage so you have to trust them.

Pros: UNBEATABLE PRICES, Easy to locate outside of Terminal1, a couple of people waiting in line, waiting time 15 minutes, other counters in the hall without customers, smooth pick-up procedure

Pros: We get a very durty car I made a video

Cons: Car was only available in automatic, even though I booked a manual car. The Rent Plus representative wasn’t willing to help. He said I can have a manual car, but will have to pay extra for this which I wasn’t willing to do, because I already paid for the whole car rental upfront. Not good at all. A manual car should have been available as per the booking.

Cons: The representative strongly tried to motivate me to purchase their insurance policy on the grounds that I am not well insured and will not be able to receive road services. And this despite the fact that I explained to him that I had already purchased full coverage from DiscoverCars. I waited 3 weeks to receive a final confirmation of billing for the damage. I sent them 6 emails until I got it.

Cons: Parking- when returning the car, there’s no dedicated space to park the car. You have to find a space in busy streets with no spaces at all. It’s all one way streets. The front desk wasn’t very helpful. I wouldn’t rent again from here.

Cons: Felt like the guy working at the desk was trying to get me to purchase things I had already said I didn’t want by saying “there were new regulations” in the country when it wasn’t true. Plus the car wasn’t really that clean inside, looks like it was barely vacuumed that’s it. Outside was pretty dirty.

Pros: When we arrived there are no automatic cars were available at all. The phone number in google and on order confirmation was not available.

Cons: Car was over 2 years old. I did have minor accident when parking scratched the back, Rentplus has charged me 400 Euro damage, but had Full protection by Discovercars and they reimbursed me in the next day!

Pros: Car was in great condition. They offer a full coverage insurance which I also appreciate.

Cons: It is hard to find a parking spot when returning the car in the downtown location

Pros: According to the email I received during the online booking, I was supposed to pay 78.67 euros in addition to the 50 euros that was deducted from my account at the time of booking, which is approximately 3,222 CZK. However, when I made the reservation, 7,177 CZK was deducted from my account. Furthermore, the initial 50 euros has not yet been returned to my account.

Cons: : Upon returning the car, your representative, without inspecting the car, insisted that I had to pay 900 CZK for diesel. I disagreed with this charge, as the tank was filled with only 400 CZK.

Pros: Professional and flexible.

Cons: Street parking –– didn’t understand where to drop it off. Receiving a map upon pick-up would have been helpful. Took a few minutes to find and squeeze into a street spot, then return to the office and say where we’d dropped it off.

Cons: I had to wait 1 hour (literaly 60 minutes) for the car to arrive to the rental desk

Cons: Car had summer tires in November which is illegal. Not a drop of window washer fluid, had to go buy it and did not get reimbursed. No snow brush/scraper. We lost two days because it was snowing and it was dangerous to drive on summer tires. The rental company later sent an employee to bring a different car with correct tires.

So please be aware of these companies.

Pros: Very helpful agent. He even upgraded our car for free as there were five of us. The car itself was very nice. Returning it to Prague airport was extremely straightforward and took less than five minutes. The terminal is practically next door. Thanks!

Cons: I don't know if this is related to the car service. Last car, I had to fill up the window wash-water. So, I bought a 5 liter can anti-freeze and filled it up. This is not a claim. I am an easy going guy who will take my responsibility, no worry about that.

Cons: I have returned the car one evening earlier than expected. The agent explained that he did not know what to do with my car, because he had all parking slots busy. After discovering that I am Italian, he appointed me as spaghetti mafia. As a (loyal recurring customer) person, I find this offensive. I suppose this was exclusively one employee's poit of view.
