Cons: The conditions for returning vehicles at night are very inconvenient. It is not at all clear where the key is located for returning the key, it took us a long time to look for it. It is not clear what the problem is with putting the claim on the floor where the car is returned.

Cons: The counter agent at Salzburg Airport engaged in deceptive counter-slamming. I explicitly declined extra insurance because I already held third-party coverage via RentalCover. The agent lied, claiming the €205.20 charge was strictly a refundable security deposit that would be credited back upon return. Despite returning the car on time with zero damage, Megadrive charged me for their "Premium Protection Package" and refused a refund. I expect Discover Cars to intervene against this fraudulent p

Pros: When asking if AMEX cards were acceptable the lady should have explained that it was necessary for them to charge (as opposed to hold pending) and then refund. I would then have been aware of a non sterling transaction fee being incurred. I could quite easily have used a visa or Mastercard where apparently the sum would have been pending as opposed to taken from the account and then being refunded.

Cons: The issue of them not holding the deposit but charging it completely and then refunding a few days later. I’ve never experienced this with any of the many companies I’ve hired though.

Driver licenses will be accepted if issued in the following country(ies): United Kingdom, EU.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.

In order to pick up the car, the renter and each additional driver must present the following documents: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher.
Deposit and deductible policy
Security Deposit will be doubled for using the following services: crossing country borders.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age).
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

Delivery/Collection service is available only by previous request.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid an additional charge per liter/gallon of missing fuel plus a 15 EUR refueling service charge.
Additional information
By law, winter tires are mandatory on all roads from 01.11 to 15.04. Snow chains are recommended in icy/snowy conditions, especially when traveling in mountainous areas.
Rental period
The maximum rental period per agreement is 29 days.
Business hours
The supplier will hold the vehicle for 29 minutes after your scheduled pick-up time as long as it is within their normal business hours. After this time, your booking may be canceled without refund.
