Pros: Very pleasant receptionist who was only a short distance away and provided the car that was best suitable for me to drive in NZ. The price was reasonable.
Cons: Every car company feels that they have to upgrade you to a larger model for the same as a compact. When I request a compact car because there is some familiarity for driving on the opposite side of the road and many countries have narrower roads, I want only a compact car. I had no isses with hertz because they were able to supply the car I wanted.

Pros: Hertz was very unprofessional and violated privacy rights and used my work email for this booking from 3 or 4 years ago - this was a private booking and I had never given my work details for this booking.
Cons: They never called me back when I encountered issues with the car smelling terrible due to excessive use of harsh chemicals that caused me headaches and nausea.

A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card until the end of the rental period.
