Pros: Subject: Serious safety incident – Booking D011871918 Hello, I am writing to file a complaint regarding a serious safety incident related to my rental booking D011871918 (Dollar Rent A Car, Tucson Airport). While driving back from Sedona around 11:30 PM, the vehicle suddenly stopped on the freeway where traffic was moving at approximately 80 mph. This placed us in an extremely dangerous situation. Shortly before the incident, the vehicle display showed 48 miles remaining. My GPS indicated 42
Cons: 42 miles to my hotel, so I reasonably believed it was safe to continue. However, after the low fuel warning appeared, the car completely lost power within about 10 minutes, which strongly suggests a vehicle malfunction or inaccurate fuel indicator rather than driver error. Due to the danger, I contacted roadside assistance and the police. The police arrived within 12 minutes and protected us with emergency lights, for which I am very grateful. A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.
There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.
The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.
In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the national driver license is not written in English.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.
In order to pick up the car, the renter and each additional driver must present the following documents: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher.
At the time of pick up customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.

Alternatively, for rates that include Fuel Purchase Option the first tank of gas is included. Customers do not have to refuel the vehicle prior to return.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 29 minutes.
