Pros: There was an act of vandalism to the first car hired. Fortunately we had someone who was able to speak to Centauro in Spanish on our behalf and help get a replacement car sorted. The pick up of the replacement car was efficiently handled.

Cons: The first car, picked up from Atocha Station Madrid, had not been cleaned at all, either inside or out from the last customers. The second car, picked up from Malaga Airport, was very clean and in better condition than the first car.

Pros: Picking the car was easy. The representatives were kind.

Cons: The shuttle at the return office went through an hotel first. Overall, it took 30 minutes from the office to the airport. In addition, the car return procedure was weird. There was no representative to guide where to park the car. And at pickup, the representative didn't inspect the car with us.

Cons: Average customer service when dropping the vehicle off. We were rushed from the vehicle. Car was in a rough but still good value for money.

Pros: Nothing.

Cons: It took 3 hours to check in and get our car. We then got the car and it was covered in significant damage - the most I’ve ever seen on a rental car. One of the reverse lights was also not working and when we told them this they told us that it wasn’t an issue. Not only this but the car had not been cleaned internally and still had rubbish from the previous renter. The car made a horrible noise while driving and the electric charger only charged enough for 10 mins of driving.

Pros: Friendly staff and very informative...highly professional!

Cons: The service was great but did not like being hit with hidden costs. I had to pay extra insurance to drive to another country for just 3 days? I had to pay for gas and get reimbursed. Given I live in Canada this costs me money because my Visa card charges a higher amount for purchase in CDN funds and then I get a lower exchange rate for a return of CDN funds. This is not a customer friendly policy for people who live outside of Europe.

Pros: The droppof agent by the airport was excellent. This process was flawless.

Cons: The pickup place in Madrid was difficult to find and cumbersome. The car was not clean, the tires were very worn which I was very concerned with.

Cons: While I paid 1500 € deposit for car assurance and 105€ for gas (had to return the car with full tank, what I did) I still haven't got my money back!

Pros: Everyone was polite and easy to talk with.

Cons: I reserved a hybrid. I would say everything was great, except the car I received was a plug in hybrid, a KIA Ceed, and not the Toyota I had seen on the website. The only way to get the hybrid benefit was to plug in the car and charge the battery, which was not fully charged when I picked up the car. I did find parking garages with charging spots, but in order to charge the car a cable is needed with a large round end on each end, which was not provided. As such, I did not get what I had paid for

Cons: Service was rushed, they charged us 56 euros just so my spouse could drive the car, did not explain well the concept of the fuel refund (all the time I thought the last fuel will be fully refunded). The car I was given was not fuel efficient so we spent a lot in gas. All in all, not satisfied.

Rental Conditions

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 1200.00), Theft Protection, Roadside Assistance (in the country of pick-up), Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, Free modifications, State Tax.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 19 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

There is no maximum age.
A senior driver fee applies to drivers over the age of 75.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

Driver licenses will be accepted if issued in the following country(ies): United Kingdom, EU.
Driver licenses from all other countries must be accompanied with International Driving Permit (IDP).
The driver license must be written in Latin alphabet. In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the national driver license is not written in English.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.

In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher, a round-trip flight or train ticket covering the rental dates.
Only physical driver's licenses are accepted (not digital versions).
Deposit and deductible policy


A separate fuel deposit is required when collecting the vehicle.

It is only possible to pay and leave a deposit using the same card.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Snow chains, Cross border fee.
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

It is allowed to add up to 3 additional drivers.
Certain additional drivers are subject to both an Additional Driver fee as well as either a Young Driver or Senior Driver fee.

Delivery/Collection service is available by previous request and for an extra charge of 18 EUR.
Delivery service is only available from Torrevieja, Benidorm downtown offices.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a certain amount of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
A deposit for a tank of fuel is required upon pick up.
Additional information
In case of renting at the airport location, the customer must provide a valid flight number in order to make a reservation.

Winter tires are not mandatory in Spain.
Snow chains are recommended in icy/snowy conditions, especially when traveling in mountainous areas.
Rental period
The maximum rental period per agreement is 29 days.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Business hours
The supplier will hold the vehicle for 120 minutes after your scheduled pick-up time as long as it is within their normal business hours. After this time, your booking may be canceled without refund.
If the customer is late for a return for more than 0 minutes, extra day charges will apply, in addition to any other rental charges. In order to have service out of hours, the renter must provide the following information: Flight number, train number.
A maximum of 2 hours is available for service outside of business hours.
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
