Pros: Drop of service at Geneva Airport was quick and apologised for the Pick-up staff in Paris.

Cons: Pick-up service at Alamo Paris Gare Du Nord was terrible. Booked car pickup for 12pm got told our car wasn't there. Had to wait 3 hours after being told it will be there in 1 hour. Staff were rude and dismissive when we questioned why the car wasn't ready or where it was once it was late. Will never use Alamo again.

Pros: Understood my situation and helped me with an alternative

Cons: The car I booked was not ready and they initially asked me to wait for 2-3 hours. They even told me that I should check with another supplier if I can get a car from them and Alamo would refund my money. Thankfully when I explained my situation they provided me an alternative to give me another car though it was not yet cleaned. I had no choice so I accepted the uncleaned car. Apart from that the car was good and served me well over 11 days.

Pros: Overall good experience, but really appreciative that Alamo allows to use debit card. We don't have and don't plan on having credit card, so it's annoying that other rental agencies block you from renting because of that.

Cons: One little thing is that we got the oil level warning coming up towards the end of our trip, so about on the 1300th Km out of our overall 1500 km. Would have been annoying and stressful if we had had more road to cover, so maybe my recommendation is to keep an eye on that, but no harm done

Pros: I received 2022 car with low KM , 31.000. Good condition. It was Citroen C4 Gazoline ( Diesel).

Cons: Even it was a good car it isn’t the same level and quality as the reservation- Passat the baggage is very small and couldn’t store all our bags.. It was diesel and not regular gas. The car wasn’t clean in and outside, but as we were waiting to much time ( came on 11:00 and left by12:30) we just wanted to leave and didn’t argue but clean it by ourselves later. The offices have no air conditioning. I’m Alamo was only one representative. Location of cars is in sane.

Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 18 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

The driver license must be written in Latin alphabet.
A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.

In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: valid driver license, Passport or ID card, booking voucher, train ticket.
In order to pick up the car the customer must present inbound and outbound flight tickets in their name matching the rental period; otherwise, they will be denied service.
In order to pick up the car, domestic renters must present the following documents: proof of home address (e.g. Utility bill).
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Snow chains.

Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a certain amount of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
If the car is returned with a lesser amount of fuel, a refueling charge of 20 EUR will be applied + the cost of the missing fuel.
Diesel vehicles are available for an additional charge.
Diesel vehicles are available only by request upon arrival.
Additional information
By law, winter tires are mandatory on all roads from 01.11 to 31.03 in the following regions: Ain, Allier, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Hautes-Alpes, Alpes-Maritimes, Ardeche, Ariege, Aude, Aveyron, Cantal, Doubs, Drome, Haute-Garonne, Isere, Jura, Loire, Haute-Loire, Lozere, Moselle, Puy-de-Dome, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Hautes-Pyrénées, Pyrénées-Orientales, Bas-Rhin, Haut-Rhin, Rhone, Haute-Saone, Savoie, Haute-Savoie, Tarn, Var, Vaucluse, Vosges, Territoire de Belfort.
Snow chains are recommended in icy/snowy conditions, especially when traveling in mountainous areas.
During the winter season, snow chains are mandatory on roads in mountainous areas that are marked by a road sign.
Business hours
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 29 minutes.
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
