Ace Rent a car at New York International Airport Kennedy

Cons: So many fees that were not easily accessible up front, car received stinking of weed, headlights pointed directly at the ground, and the gas tank was filled with something that caused a 40 mile trip to drain 1/4 the tank.

Pros: I love to rent through Ace , I do it all the time , but this thirds party company is horrible.

Pros: To be fair: not much. The shuttle service is nice but besides that they're shit.

Cons: The desk clerk was rude and difficult, I had to take additional insurance coverage even though I selected without because I would not be allowed to rent without full coverage with Ace (thanks DiscoverCars!), it felt like I was scammed the whole time, the car was a bit shabby and they don't give you a full tank of gas so that you have to fill up with more than was in it, the deposit was high for such a simple car and my credit card did not work at their office.

Cons: Shuttle was meant to arrive in 15 minutes but took 45 minutes. Was charged $600 extra for insurance because international coverage with credit card was not accepted.

Pros: Ace are total scum bags. It’s their company policy to cancel the booking after 2 hours over the pick up time. Avis give you 14 hours.

Cons: Your company has ripped me off and I never even got my car. My flight was delayed and because it was more than two hours and I was in the air so couldn’t call to say we were delayed. We arrived after 10 at night and the hire company was closed. We called at 9 am when it opened and they told me the booking was cancelled and all my money was lost. The were the rudest people I had ever met. I then had to go to Avis and wait 2 hours in a queue and the spend £1100 dollars for the save hire.

Cons: the agents was not nice. the could smile a little more but they did their job. we had a flat tire at the beginnig of the using fo the car and we had to fix it during the trip.

Cons: Manipulative. I will never use this agency again. The price online when I booked it was $700. When I arrived, the lady tried to pressure me into paying $1200 from a bunch of extra fees and rental insurance I already had. Absolutely awful customer service. Car was terrible. Border-line clean and drove awful. I was afraid it would break down. Would absolutely never rent from here again and would not let my friends rent from here.

Cons: As mentioned before the car was in bad condition. In addition to barely starting it also seemed to have a shotty transmission which was kind of scary at times. And the poor customer service.

Pros: We were able to take the shuttle to and from the rental car location without waiting.

Cons: It took a long time to pick up the car, and the service was not as professional as I've experienced with other budget rental companies.

Pros: I like that they take photos showing existing scratches and other defects before the car leaves the site.

Cons: My Florida insurance identification card merely states that I have insurance meeting minimum requirements. Agent was insistent that I buy CDW coverage since I didn't have a declaration page to show collision and comprehensive coverage with me.

Cons: -Inconvenience of off-site rental car service. -Pushy staff. -Lack of shuttle information for drop-off. -Tire pressure gauge went off in car as soon as I left the lot.

Cons: The speedometer did not function at all. I was unable to see how fast I was going. I told the agent when I returned the car and asked for an adjustment on the price I paid. He said he would talk to his manager and that I would be contacted. I have heard nothing.

Pros: They were horrible. Will never rent from them again.

Cons: Was not told they did not have any cars for me (despite my reservation) until I was at the curb at the airport. Completely unacceptable.

Pros: Decent quality vehicle and a good price. The agent that assisted me in the pickup was very pleasant.

Cons: Excruciating delay and burdensome process picking up the vehicle because info (last 4 digits of credit card used, coverage purchased on vehicle) in DiscoverCars system not available to Ace agent. To add insult to injury, no restroom was available for customer use.

Pros: Absolutely NOTHING. We will never use them again.

Cons: Everything especially the lack of service, communication, efficiency, and professionalism.

Pros: The agents were professional and the drop-off was easy. I was compensated for the repairs I had to undertake. The cost of the rental was reasonable.

Cons: Picking up the car took over an hour, and there was no customer restroom, which seems absurd when I'm spending over a thousand dollars at the business. The car had burnt out hi-beams, no brake lights, and very old windshield wipers that didn't work.

Pros: They were very polite and accommodating. My flight plans had changed and manager waived the fee for me to return to a different airport. I left happy. Car was good.

Cons: Off-airport location takes a lot more time for pick up and drop off. On return to EWR you have to wait in line with those renting. If it's busy and you have a flight to catch this could be frustrating or worse.

Cons: You have to call for a shuttle, the receipt I received was for a quantity of 44 of something in a foreign currency which feels like some sort of tax fraud and made me think I had been scammed, the wait was crazy long, the shuttle to go back to the airport was on lunch so I had to just stand around waiting for someone to eat, the car had so much damage that I was afraid I’d be charged for some of it, and they made me sign something saying that I agree with THEIR video of the damage before seeing!

Pros: Nothing. I was not able to pickup my car because I had prepaid with my debit card. It does not say anywhere that I would have to use my debit card. They always asking for credit cards which I had.

Cons: No one has contacted me since that morning from Discover Cars about my refund. I kept sending in these customer support emails but never get to the bottom of it.

Pros: Everything until i found out they gave me the wrong information and screwed me out of a refund from discover.cars. that ruined the whole experience and i’ll never book with them or discover.cars again.

Cons: i’m owed a refund from discover.cars and they won’t give it to me and ace can’t help me
