Awesome nature of the island really amazes. Perfect swimming, picturesque views during hiking were just breathtaking.

We spend 5 days on La Dique where the beaches were amazing, our hosts very friendly and nothing was too much trouble including the fantastic evening buffets prepared by the owners.
6 days on Praslin where we had hoped to suba dive but due to unseasonal weather, rain and rough seas only managed 2 dives, still nice but visibility was poor.

Having a Car allowed us to move very easily around the island while watching everything without having to walk in the heat. We were also visiting friends and going out at night so it was definitely a necessity.

Renting a car is ideal if you want to explore the whole of Mahé or Praslin. Tend to avoid morning and afternoon rush hour traffic, mostly in main town Victoria. The town itself is small and much easier to park up stroll in at your leisure. Some roads tend to be very narrow and hazardous - go at your own pace.

This was our second
Trip in 4 years and we love driving round the island stopping at beaches and restaurants.Victoria is a must to visit and the beach at Takamaka.

5 days on Mahe is enough to explore the Islnad, than recommend to go also to Praslin and La Dique.
