Algar do Carvão was the top site on the island for me. Gruta do Natal was overrated in comparison. If you go to Terceira in the summer try to get to one of the bullfights. An unique experience.

Terceira is a small but exceptionally beautiful island. Lots of great restaurants, museums, and other attractions. The countryside is gorgeous and the waves pounding on the rocks all along the coast are amazing. Getting around by car is quite easy. Our favourite towns were Angra and Praia de Vitorio.
