Keddy at Penang Airport

Pros: Receiving the car at the airport was efficient and fast. Car's condition was decently good.

Cons: Returning was a bad experience. My flight is 10 am. I need to return the car at 8 am. The night before, I tried to reach out to the provider via SMS that I will drop the car at 8 am. I received no response. At 6-7am, I tried to call the provider's phone number numerous time and nobody picks up. As alternative, I tried to call the 24-hour hotline number the provider has given to me but nobody picked up.

Pros: There is prompt response from the rental phone number

Pros: Effective rental fees but too many hidden cost such as additional charges for returning the car after office hour, surcharge for slight shortfall of the fuel upon returning and higher charge rate for extending the leasing period.

Cons: Fuel policy. Collected RM 20 for slight shortfall of the fuel even though I have to return the car earlier. Too calculative and not flexible.

Pros: There are no counter in the airport. It’s meet and greet, so you better have a working phone signal to communicate with agent.

Cons: The car that I had was cosmetically in a bad shape. The rear glass tinted was badly bubbled and could not see rear cars. Serious safety hazard. It has a rusty paint on the car boots, looks ugly. CarDiscovers, Keddy are considered premium car rentals but this happened.

Cons: No meet-and-greet service as claimed by website, and back screen was in poor condition (it was hazy and cant see how near or far the car behind is until you get honked by the car behind. It was extremely hazardous at night and during rain. And it rained for three days) There was no car camera, no charging port and no phone stand/clip and I wonder how any tourist can drive the car without holding on to their phone or blocking the speedometer with their phone.

Cons: The car did not come with features that can help the tourist like GPS or holder for handphone.

Pros: The car was supply by Europcar, only thing I am impressed was the service stuff that hand over and take over the car. He name is Fatti, he carefully went thru the car and paper work. He also explained to me the whole process while returning. 👍🏻

Cons: We had to call the agent to inform them that we were at the airport as they didn’t have a booth.

Pros: Chips in the windscreen so I couldn’t see out clearly. Windscreen wipers didn’t work properly. Overall the car’s visibility was dangerous. The car broke down. So overall the car was shockingly bad.

Cons: When the car broke down. None of their 24/7 breakdown numbers either worked or were answered. Overall the car rental experience was the worst I’ve ever had. I refund would be appropriate.

Cons: The fuel is only 3/4 full upon pick up and it make me have difficulty on gauging how much fuel I need to top up till 3/4 full upon returning the car. Hope next booking I expect a full tank fuel instead of lesser.

Cons: There was no meet and greet service as claimed. Spent a long time asking around before finding the agent. GPS not provided in vehicle. Worst of all, during returning, inform me to park the car at the carpark and leave the car unlock and key inside! No one to take over and must pay the parking fees till they start work at 9am! Horrible!

Cons: Insufficient explanation on the documents that I was signing. Last minute information about extra charges of a large amount due to collection of car outside operating hours as a result of flight delay. No rental desk at the airport. Had to make a local call for car collection.

Cons: The car tyre conditions should also be checked prior to delivery, the tyre tread was quite worn causing us to have to exercise extreme caution in driving, due to it being the rainy season as well.
