Many highways in mainland Portugal are tolled using only electronic means.
All rental vehicles are equipped with a transponder that can be used for paying for all toll roads.
You may also be required to leave an additional deposit for tolls.
Prepaid tolls are available for 2.36 EUR per day.
An E-toll charge will apply; personal consumption will be charged separately at the end of the rental period.

Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid an additional charge per liter/gallon of missing fuel plus a 30 EUR refueling service charge.
