Pros: Nothing

Cons: My flight was delayed which meant I would arrive after the office closed. Asked if I could collect the following morning and was told No. They offered no solution. On landing I was told by a Jet2 rep that they had returned to the desk to let another customer pick up but they wouldn't offer this option to me, despite contacting them in advance.

Pros: In terminal car pickup, Quick collection process, car cleanliness and breakdown paperwork details were supplied The car also have a Eco sticker which meant driving within the heart of Barcelona was legally allowed

Cons: - Drop off instructions didn't clearly specify that keys had to be dropped off without any agent's involvement. - I requested a free upgrade offer but that was politely declined saying you need to pay extra rental cost

Cons: Return mileage has been falsified resulting in extra charges of €300 for 'excess mileage'! Minor paint damage already present (and supposedly no problem as less than 2cm) when picking up the car, was then claimed by Goldcar to be new damage and a further unwarranted charge of €100 made!

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Mileage: 1250 km per rental, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 3000.00), Theft Protection, Third Party Liability (TPL), Premium Location fee, Free modifications, Environmental Contribution fee, State Tax.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 25.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

A novice driver fee will apply to drivers who have held their driver license for less than 4 years.

Driver licenses will be accepted if issued in the following country(ies): United Kingdom, EU.
Driver licenses from all other countries must be accompanied with International Driving Permit (IDP). Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.
Deposit and deductible policy
Fuel deposit prices can vary depending on the car model and market fuel prices in force when collecting the car.
Cross-border policy
Crossing country borders is allowed to the following countries: Andorra, France, Italy, Portugal, Gibraltar.
Written permission from the rental company is required.
Crossing country borders is allowed by previous request and for an additional charge of 13.20 EUR per day, with a maximum charge of 171.60 EUR per rental.
Using a ferry is allowed on the previous request and for an additional charge with special permission from the car rental company. Vehicles may not be taken to the following islands: Ibiza, Formentera Island.
The purchase of the following insurance(s): Cross Border Pack is mandatory.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age).
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.


Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
A deposit for a tank of fuel is required upon pick up.

For electric vehicles: the customer will receive the vehicle totally charged, and it is NOT necessary to return it with a full charge.
A full battery lasts around 150 km (this is an estimate as it depends on several factors).
If the customer runs out of battery and is stranded with the vehicle, requiring help from our roadside assistance, please keep in mind that this service is not covered by the rental insurance nor by any additional policy (the customer is always liable for all costs involved).
Additional information
Winter tires are not mandatory in Spain.
Snow chains are recommended in icy/snowy conditions, especially when traveling in mountainous areas.
Rental period
The maximum rental period per agreement is 28 days.
If the renter would like to extend the rental period, renter should return to the car hire office at the end of the rental period to sign a new agreement.
Business hours
The supplier will hold the vehicle for 6 hours after your scheduled pick-up time as long as it is within their normal business hours. After this time, your booking may be canceled without refund.
