Pros: Drop off was fine although May have offered a terminal drop off rather than make us walk with bags to terminal.

Cons: We have to wait 2.5 hours in line to pick up car. Lack of checkin staff and inefficient process. Poor customer service. Other car rental desks such as Hertz, Avis and budget were far more efficient.

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 1667.00), Theft Protection, Third Party Liability (TPL), Personal Accident Insurance (PAI), Free modifications.
Rate excludes
The following surcharges may apply: Road tax.
The government of Iceland charges a road tax of 6-12 ISK per kilometer driven.
This fee is payable at the rental desk when you drop off the vehicle.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 19 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 21.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if it is accompanied by a regular driver's license, is issued by an official authority or government-authorized organization, and is in physical (not digital) form.
Deposit and deductible policy

Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Child seat (2-4 years of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age).
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.


Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Additional information
By law, winter tires are mandatory on all roads from 01.11 to 15.04.
Snow chains are allowed in icy/snowy conditions.
Business hours
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
The supplier will hold the vehicle for 1 hour after your scheduled pick-up time as long as it is within their normal business hours. After this time, your booking may be canceled without refund.
