Al Thuraya Car Rental in Aqaba (Downtown)

Pros: The car was not cleaned inside, but it was not a problem, as it worked as it should. But this is my only complaint.

Cons: They did not want to give the deposit back with false explanation it should cover a virtual damage which is covered by the TPL insurance. I got all their lies in a written form. They constantly lie in many ways and wasted a high amount of my time. As the accident happened, neither me or the police were able to reach them entirely (ca 9pm-1am). They wanted 3x higher rental fee for prolonging the rent. They did not give me any confirmation for this prolonging. The car had no working radio.

Pros: Easy to communicate with them. Good service

Cons: The car was not in good conditions. The car wasn't aligned, it kept moving to the right if I didn't hold the steering wheel. I checked at the tire's pressure and it was ok, so the problem wanst that.

Pros: Nothing

Cons: They. Charged me 100$ for a scratch that I didn’t do and they have bad customer service

Pros: The office in Aqaba was empty and only after two phone calls someone showed up. From then onwards, the rental pick up was quick

Cons: I booked one way, pick up Aqaba and drop off Amman. Usually you pay an extra and then good is. Here, I had to inform the rental company a day in advance about the intended drop off and then they organised someone to pick up the car at a location convenient for me. This was a bit odd and took also some time until everything was done

Pros: They have a nice car.

Cons: The staff is the worse. Very disrespectful, nobody answered correctly on the phone and also didn’t picked up when we call. It was Ramadan , so we asked which time we could get the car for not disturbing. Since they didn’t reply we chose 9 because a local man said that 9 am it would probably be open. It was 9:30 when the person showed up. We only got the car at 11:00. Despite a good car, I would never come back to tu is agency.

Cons: First I requested to take tge car at 11 oclock and they give me after 3 hours, second After i get back to the home, They fined me amount of money with no reason, i brought back the car as i took it.

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Everything, the car was dirty, with some part crash, the agent who picked up was drunk and it made me fell uncomfortable, and isn't trust about the deposit. They were late to pick up and I had a flight and I waste time waiting him.

Pros: Convenient office in centre of Aqaba

Cons: Very grumpy chap in the office and seem to take a long time completing all the paperwork. Car was quite old with high mileage but was actually fine and didn't let us down.

Pros: Easy booking experience, and collecting and returning the car was a quick process. We had no issues during our road trip and were happy with how the car drove. Very affordable price and i would be happy to use them again.

Pros: Fast. Relaxed.

Cons: Extra money for credit-card use. Quit an old car. Return deposit on creditcard can take 2 weeks?

Pros: Easy to find and at pick up friendly workers. But they tried to scam me out of money by falsely manipulating the petrol gauge and accusing me of not same for same marking 6/8 as a half on their form, I had to argue with the man to fix it, for my own protection I recorded him saying all was ok at the return.

Cons: The gas gauge on the car had been manipulated, when we picked up the car it was at 6/8 full and 461km in the tank, but after droving literally up the street the gauge fell to 2/8 and 270km, I called the rental company and was assured it was just a sensor malfunction but to be on the safe side I got petrol. I’m glad we did because we spent 33JD on petrol to fill the tank. It was clearly lower than said. At drop off they said it wasn’t same for same (6/8 was marked as half on form) I argued to fix

Pros: Cheapest rental company. Excellent value! Deposit refunded in 24h.

Cons: Car had 110k kms and was rattling pretty bad. Child seat was unusable as it was larger than asked.

Cons: Booked through discovery cars to pick up at their city centre office to find after we turned up there that it's been shut down by the Aqaba council. So we ended up having to get an expensive taxi to their other office at the airport to pick up a car from there. When we approached them about paying for the taxi they said that we were getting a good price anyways and that they would not pay for the taxi, even though we were able to book for pick up at their city centre office

Cons: Very old car with 140 000 km on the odometer. Not the same as it was ordered, Older. Lot of damages of exterior. The office not opened in usual working hours. You have to negotiate pickup and drop off times and wait. Better to use International companies

Cons: The time needed to prepare for getting the car and the hidden costs that I had to pay

Pros: Friendly staff.

Cons: Internal smoking in the office. At drop-off it was not communicated that there is no drop-off office of the renal company at the airport.

Pros: After all the arguing the car that was provided was good

Cons: We had a lot of issues with our cars - unavailability, broken car, office closed and unable to contact car renter....

Pros: What a shambles. We arrived at the alloted time to pick up our rental car. There was no car there. We were then told that it was at the airport waiting for us. We were driven by 2 staff members to the airport. An Al Thuraya car was in the airport car park. Our Al Thuraya chap tried to open the car but didn't have a key. He then told us that it was a mistake and our car was now back at the Aqaba office (where we had just come from!). We were then driven back to the office.

Cons: Chaos. No car ready for us. Al Thuraya man had no idea what he was doing. Gave us a car eventually but not the one we had booked. Didn't even check it properly before giving us it. Didn't check it had oil or water. Didn't check the tyres. It had just been returned by another customer and I was concerned that it was handed straight to us without any checks. Rep had limited English and he got angry with us even though they messed up and didn't have a car ready for us. Utter shambles. Do not use

Pros: They gave me a car smaller than booked. It had lot’s of dents and a bit dirty. They don’t care to much. Easy going and friendly stuff.would rent from them again

Cons: Smell of the car was absolutely exhausting. Brend new car and cigarettes smell everywhere. It was horrible.

Cons: Very slow and cars lights needed adjusting
