Cons: Gave me a car from an entirely different status level (I paid for "Elite SUV", they gave me a "Midsize SUV" unapologetically. No inspection, no instructions, no coverage offered - despite my questions. Wipers didn't work. Charger didn't work. Locks didn't work properly, and I ended up getting my things stolen. Horrible service, no accountability.

Pros: Agents were friendly

Cons: The car - a 2015 Nissen 4 door sedan - wasn’t in good shape. Hubcaps were chipped. Tire tread was low. The car didn’t have a lot of power when trying to merge onto the freeway. A tire pressure light came on the second day. When I filled the tire with air I saw that the tire that was low was mismatched. I felt like the car wasn’t safe to drive. I would not rent through DiscoverCars or Ace again. I wonder if I got this car because I prepaid so they weren’t worried about me refusing it?

Rental Conditions

Rate includes
Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage (except for local residents), Energy recovery fee, VAT (value added tax), Free modifications.
Rate excludes
An E-Toll is offered in order to avoid violation fees.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 21 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 26.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

A driver license printed using a non-Roman alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic, etc) must be supplemented by an International Driving Permit.
In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the customer is not a resident of the following country(ies): USA.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.

In addition to documents mentioned previously, the customer will need the following: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher, return flight ticket, proof of home address (e.g. Utility bill), proof of liability insurance.
Insurance
If opting to self-insure, the renter must have a full coverage policy that includes the deductible, physical damage, and liability.
This insurance must be valid in the following country(ies): USA.
USA - California residents must use their own Third Party Liability and Collision Damage Waiver insurance policies.
In case the customer does not have one of the insurances, mentioned above, the customer will need to purchase insurance at the counter.
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card until the end of the rental period.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.
Payment policy
At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
Only cards issued in the main driver's name are accepted.

It is possible to pay and leave the deposit only with the following payment methods: Eurocard, Discover, MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card, American Express credit card.
Only foreign renters are allowed to use the following payment method(s): Debit cards.

Maestro, Cash, Cheques, Diners, Prepaid cards is/are not accepted.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).

Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a certain amount of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.

Business hours
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 120 minutes.
