What is Roadtrip Protection, eligibility and requirements?
We understand that a breakdown or accident can be very stressful. Roadtrip Protection (Mobility Protection) is a travel disruption product provided by Sincera Insurance and distributed by DiscoverCars.com.
Its purpose is to cover travel disruption expenses if your rental vehicle breaks down or is involved in an accident and becomes unsafe to drive. To ensure you remain covered, please follow these essential requirements.
Step-by-Step Guide:
You must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver's license.
Make sure your name is listed on the rental agreement.
Comply with all terms of the rental agreement and applicable local traffic laws.
Do not drive under the influence of alcohol or other intoxicating substances.
If an incident occurs, take reasonable steps to prevent and minimise further loss or damage.
"This will pay for repairs to the rental car after an accident."
This is not damage insurance and does not cover physical damage to the vehicle.
"I am covered if my rental car or luggage is stolen."
Theft of the vehicle, extra equipment, or personal belongings is not covered.
"I can drive anywhere and still be protected."
Coverage applies only in regions permitted by your rental agreement.
"I will be covered regardless of how I drive."
Breaching laws or acting with gross negligence or intent may invalidate your coverage.
