Family visit and errands but visited Khao Yai which was lovely as a stopover

We actually drove straight from Bangkok to Pattaya and had a reservation at a wonderful spa resort called The Gems Mining Pool resort just outside Pattaya city. We used that as a base to travel around Pattaya and because we had a car we were able to travel with ease and see the unseen parts of Pattaya. Pattaya is known for its seedy side but it has so much more to offer. We did lots of visits to local markets and towns where we'd see what the locals would shop and eat. We like to interact with the actual local community rather than the commercial parts of the city. Amazing Street food markets around the city. Many impromptu finds which is the best part of having a car. We also spent a few days in Bangkok. I visited Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore for my far-eastern tour and I really enjoyed Malaysia but Thailand I fell in love with. Amazing food. Amazing people. Amazing sights. When people say once in a lifetime experience my trip can be put into that category but I truly hope it wasn't a once in a lifetime

Driving in Thailand can be a great way to see the country. You need to be a confident driver and keep your wits about you as there is a lot of traffic with undertaking as well as over taking.
