Can I choose the exact model or color of the car I booked?
When you book a car, you’re usually reserving a vehicle category (like “Compact” or “SUV”) rather than a specific make, model, or color. The photo you see during booking is a great example of what to expect, but it's not a guarantee of the exact car.
Step-by-Step Guide:
If an offer has this label, you’ll receive that exact make and model.
Most bookings are for a category. This means you’ll receive a car with the same key features, like the number of seats, doors, and transmission type, even if the brand is different.
Since rental fleets change daily, we aren't able to reserve specific colors in advance. Just ask the agent at the rental desk when you arrive. If they have options available, they’re usually happy to help you pick out your favorite.
"Since the photo showed Bluetooth and Apple CarPlay, my rental will definitely have those tech features."
We guarantee core features like the transmission and air conditioning. However, tech add-ons like Bluetooth or smartphone integration depend on the exact car the rental desk has ready for you at pickup.
"If I get a free upgrade, it will be the same size car but just a more expensive brand."
If your booked category is out of stock, the local team might give you a vehicle from a higher classification at no extra cost. This means your upgraded car might actually be larger than what you originally planned to drive.
💡 Did You Know?
The rental industry uses 4-letter codes (like CDMR) to group cars. As long as the car you get matches the code on your voucher for size, doors, and transmission, the rental company is providing the correct vehicle category.
What to do next:
If you have a strong preference for a specific model, let us know! We’re happy to add a "preference note" to your booking. While it’s not a guarantee, the local staff will do their best to get you into that exact car if it's on the lot when you arrive.
