What is a no-show?
A "No-Show" simply means the rental company wasn't able to release the car to you—usually because the pick-up time was missed, or there was a little hiccup with your documents or payment.
Step-by-Step Guide:
1Be on Time
Aim to arrive at the rental desk right at your scheduled pick-up time. Most suppliers are happy to hold the car for a short "grace period" (usually around 30 to 60 minutes) just in case you're running a bit late.
2Bring the Right Stuff
It's best to have your physical Driver's License ready (along with an International Driving Permit if needed), a physical credit card in the main driver's name with enough funds for the deposit, your Passport or ID, and your voucher. Keep in mind that debit cards or cards in someone else's name usually aren't accepted at the desk.
3Keep in Touch
If your flight gets delayed, just give the rental supplier a quick call using the number on your voucher!
A quick tip: Adding your flight number to your booking is a great way to help them track your arrival, but a quick phone call is still the best way to make sure they hold the car for you past their usual grace period.
What Customers Often Expect vs What Actually Happens:
Expectation: "I didn't pick up the car, so I should get a full refund for the rental."
Reality: Since the car was reserved specifically for you and kept off the market for other renters, the prepaid rental cost generally isn't refundable if the pick-up is missed.
Expectation: "My Full Coverage should be refunded even if I miss my pick-up."
Reality: Usually, Full Coverage can only be removed and refunded before your scheduled pick-up time. However, if you have a verified No-Show, the rental never started, and you reach out to us while you're still at the desk, we are more than happy to assist you further.
💡What To Do Next:
If you missed your pick-up, don't panic! Check your confirmation email to see if you added Full Coverage, we can happily assist you if you contact us right away while at the rental desk.
If you were delayed due to an unexpected situation (like a medical), just gather any documents you have and reach out to our support team so we can see how best to help you.
