What’s Full Protection from RentalCover and how can I add it to my booking?
Full Protection, provided by our partner RentalCover, is a comprehensive coverage option designed to protect you from many common damage or car theft costs during your rental.
Like our standard Full Coverage plan, it works through a reimbursement process.
Step-by-Step Guide:
If the rental car experiences damage or theft, the rental supplier processes the charge on your card for the related costs (up to the deductible amount). You can then submit the receipts and documentation to RentalCover so they can reimburse the eligible expenses.
Full Protection includes coverage for:
- Theft of the vehicle
- Bodywork and doors
- Windows and mirrors
- Wheels and tires
- Roof and undercarriage
- Key replacement or lockout assistance
- Administrative fees for the damage
- Towing costs
- Loss of use fees charged by the rental supplier while the vehicle is being repaired
To manage your policy or submit a claim, activate your RentalCover account.
Look for a confirmation email from RentalCover with a reference ending in “-INS”, sent shortly after your booking.
- During Booking: The easiest way is to select Full Protection as an Optional Extra while completing your reservation on our website.
- After Booking: You can also check the Manage Booking section to see if the option to add protection is available. For rentals that extend beyond the original booking period, additional protection can be arranged directly through RentalCover.com to cover the extra days.
"I have RentalCover, so the supplier won't ask for a deposit."
You will still need to leave a security deposit at the pick-up desk. RentalCover is a third-party partner, so the rental supplier cannot see this coverage in their system. For this reason, the supplier will require a deposit to protect their vehicle during the rental period.
💡 Did You Know?
If your car rental dates are extended, your RentalCover policy does not automatically extend. You can arrange additional protection for those extra days directly through RentalCover.com, helping keep your coverage active for the entire rental period.
