What if I got charged for the damages more than 90 days after the drop-off?
Don’t worry! It’s quite common for rental suppliers to post damage charges or fines weeks after your trip ends.
If the charge appears within 90 days of your drop-off date, you can still submit a Full Coverage claim and request reimbursement.
If the charge is processed later, please contact our support team so we can review your situation and advise you on the next steps.
Step-by-Step Guide:
Log in to the My Booking portal and try to submit your claim via the Full Coverage section.
The “File a Claim” button on our website may become inactive after 90 days.
If this happens, simply send your claim request through our Help Centre contact form.
Along with your standard documents (Rental Agreement, Damage Report, Final Invoice), include a document showing when the supplier charged your card - like a bank statement. This confirms the late arrival of the charge and supports your claim.
Our team will review the late charge with the supplier and process your claim manually.
"The website says I only have 90 days to claim, so the system blocked me and I've lost my money."
The 90-day timeframe you might see is just a technical window for you to be able to submit your claim through the "My Booking" page. Our official Terms & Conditions legally allow claims up to 90 days, giving you ample time to gather documents for late-arriving invoices. You aren't penalised for the supplier's delay!
"The supplier can't randomly charge my credit card a month after I returned the car."
Rental contracts almost always allow suppliers to charge for damages, tolls, or fines months after the return, especially if they are waiting on a mechanic's inspection or third-party police reports.
💡 Did You Know?
To ensure a smooth approval for a late claim, the "Proof of Payment" document is the most critical piece of evidence. It shows our team exactly when the supplier pulled the funds from your account!
What To Do Next:
Gather your standard documents immediately, making sure to highlight the dated proof of the late charge on your bank statement. Then, submit your request via "My Booking" or our Help Centre contact form!
