Can I reinstate my cancelled booking?

Once a booking is cancelled, the system immediately returns the vehicle to the rental supplier's inventory.
To get a car for your trip, you'll just need to make a brand-new booking.

Step-by-Step Guide:

1Search Again

Head over to discovercars.com to search for your travel dates and location.

2Check Availability

Look for the same car or a similar model. Since rental fleets change constantly, pricing and availability might look a little different from your first search.

3Make a New Booking

Follow the checkout process to secure your new offer.

4Apply Your Funds

If you received Booking Credit for your cancellation, it will be automatically applied to the online prepayment for your new booking when you use the same email address.

Expectation:

"I pressed cancel by mistake 5 minutes ago, surely you can just flip the switch back."

Reality:

Because the system automatically returns cars from cancelled bookings to the supplier straight away, we aren't able to reverse the process. Setting up a new booking is the quickest way to get a car back on your itinerary.

Expectation:

"I can get my old price back."

Reality:

Rental prices change based on real-time availability. Your new booking will reflect the current rates, which means the price might be higher (or lower!) than before.

💡 Did You Know?

If you selected Booking Credit, it's valid for 3 years! It links directly to your email address, so you can use it straight away for a new trip without waiting for a bank refund to be processed.
