What happens if the price at the rental desk is higher than the one on my voucher?

The price on your voucher covers the core rental, but the final total at the desk might look a little different if you decide to add some extras, pay local fees, or when the supplier places a hold for your security deposit.

Step-by-Step Guide:

1Check the Breakdown
Before signing your rental agreement, it's always a great idea to ask the desk agent to kindly walk you through the items listed. Keep an eye out for optional add-ons like vehicle upgrades, a GPS, or extra insurance. You can simply decline these if you don't need them for your trip!
If you ever feel pressured to purchase extra insurance even though you meet all the standard Rental Conditions, just reach out to us right away so we can help support you.

2Spot the Deposit
If you see a larger amount on the card terminal, this is usually just the temporary security deposit hold, rather than a completed charge. You can easily check the "Security Deposit" section on your voucher ahead of time to confirm the expected amount.

3Review Mandatory Fees
Take a quick peek at the "Pay at pick-up" section of your voucher for any local fees, such as young driver fees, one-way drop-off fees, or local taxes. These are always paid directly to the supplier when you arrive.

4Watch the Currency
If you're renting abroad, the desk will charge in the local currency. Because your bank applies its own daily exchange rates, the final number on your bank statement might look slightly different from your voucher. Small differences are usually just due to these exchange rates rather than any hidden fees!

💡 Did you know?

Purchasing "Full Coverage" through us is separate from the supplier's own insurance.
If the desk agent mentions that their insurance is needed to reduce your deposit, this is actually completely optional! As long as you meet the standard Rental Conditions, you can confidently stick to your original plan and simply leave the standard security deposit.
